The service here is absolutely terrible. The steaks are just ok. If you want a decent steak try The Keg. Pros: Leaving Cons: Service, Food

Wonderful! 2/20/2008

My parents and I went here before a concert at the Pepsi center. My parents had been here before and loved it and it was my first time! Wow! The service was awsome, we actually ended up in a private room, and the food was delicious. From the appetizer to the sides, everything was very tasty. The steak was very good and the wine was wonderful! It is pricy but completly worth it! Pros: Everything! more

Great Steaks! 12/6/2006

On Nov 25th I took my husband out for a fun evening. Neither of us had ever dined at Gallaghers before and I was a bit hesitant not knowing what we would encounter. The minute we sat down however our fears were put at ease by a very professional and knowledgable server. She explained about their steaks and offered her recommendations. My husband ordered a NY Strip and I had the roasted Chicken and a bowl of French Onion soup. The meals were prepared to perfection and this may be the best french onion soup I have ever had. I also recommend that you sign up for their VIP program because they email you a $20 off coupon to use either at their restaurant or their sister restaurant La Fondue. It makes would would normally be considered a pricy dinner affordable for those who need to watch their pennies. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and hope to return there again soon. Pros: Steaks! Cons: maybe price but not if you use the coupon more

Not bad. 12/3/2006

Not the best steak Ive ever had, but much better than chain restaurants like outback or chilis. Service is okay, the waiters seem kind of snotty. more

bland, tasteless steak 10/17/2006

I was referred here by the concierge at the nearby Hyatt Regency. The service was good, the side dishes (sauteed spinach, shrimp, beefsteak tomato and onion salad) were very good and the wine selection was excellent, including a good number of 1/2 bottles. The steak however was both expensive and completely tasteless, with no flavor of any sort, including the ""hickory"" it supposedly is grilled over. Ordered medium rare, it came out bright pink on the inside and, except for the size (both thick and large) the sirloin was completely lacking in aroma, flavor, or appeal. more

Beautiful Steak!! 9/5/2006

I went to Gallaghers with a group of 8 people. Initial appearances worried me, but our server Sarah, was low key and extremely competent. Side dishes here are relatively plain, but my ribeye was one of the more amazing steaks that I've every had. I'm not a huge fan of the American Steak house genre of dinning, but this was a pleasant experience and our group very much enjoyed themselves. One warning, it may have just been the night that we were there, but it felt as though it were about 40 degrees in the restaurant. We literally wore our coats in from outside and never took them off. A request of raise the temperature into the 50's may or may not have been honored, it was hard to tell. Definitely bring a sweater!! Pros: Great Steak, good for groups Cons: COLD!!! more

Disappointing 11/17/2005

Walked in expecting an excellant steak. Walked out more pleased with everything except for the steak. The appetizers were good, the side dishes were good, and the wine selection was good. The steak was very disappinting. You can find a much better steak for half the price at any other steakhouse in the denver area. If your looking for a great steak go somewhere else. The bright spots of the evening were the location, right by the DCPA and the service was very good more

Seriously mismanaged establishment. 4/26/2005

Never go to this restaurant ever. It is a scary experience. If you do and you have a complaint do not ask to speak to the manager, it will be the worst experience of your dining life. Pros: Leaving Cons: Steak, Management, Atmosphere more

Can you say Perfect Dining Experience? 10/14/2003

Wow! Impeccable service, no waiting, and some of the best filet mingon I recall ever having! Gallagher's may not be as trendy or elitist as those other places - but you should be going here to experience gastronomic Nirvana - not to be seen on the scene! P.S. - I see that some have had unpleasant experiences here - but it has always been 100% every time I've gone. Maybe I'm just lucky? Pros: Great Food, Great Service, Complimentary Valet Cons: Not for children, Not inexpensive more

Succulent Steak House 2/12/2003

This was a nice surprise. The lobster was fresh, the portions were huge and the staff was incredibly attentive! I would recommend this to anyone. Pros: Portion, Quality more

Meat Lovers Paradise 6/16/2002

Two words, Great Steak! Plan on bringing some home because the portions are huge. more
