Tom and his mom are worst people on planet to deal with, if i knew then what i know now .. i would never never never rent from them!!! Im still renting a house through them but i dont deal with them anymore, we contacted the real owner of the house and we love him and his house. We take good care of house and the property you would think Tom would be happy with us, but NO he is always rude, disrespectful and always looks down on renters. I have read all of these bad reviews and thought ""well maybe thats just their luck"" But God, i wish I believed them! There are many houses for rent right now .. do yourself a favor DONT rent from TOM or his MOTHER, they will charge you for same things over and over and over and apologize saying that their bookkeeper just has quit! They never answer their calls, offices are always closed and God forbid you say something to him he will have the attitude like a kid who lost his chocolate!! DONT DONT DONT! more

Don't really know where to get 3/30/2012

Don't really know where to get started...I'm completely lost as to why ANY owner would have Sharon and her son represent and manage a property. Every time that I deal with G & G Property I swear it will be the last, and start looking for another place to live, mainly for the sole purpose of dealing with such rude, and nasty 'professional' people. I've rented from them for a long time and it's NEVER gotten better. Sharon is just as bitchy, greedy, and superior as the day that I first started having problems with her i.e. the day I turned in my application. Other that dealing with the worst people, their office is NEVER open and if it's a housing emergency it will take them up to 6 hours to get back to you after calling repeatedly. Again, I have dealt with these people SO much over the last few years and not only does it cause me panic attacks to deal with them, it's only gotten WORSE. If you can help it, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. Take it from me, I've never dealt with anything quite like this. more

OMG I called this place today about a 2/1/2012

OMG I called this place today about a rental that I was interested in seeing and I got some older woman on the phone who was asking me all these questions that were none of her DAMN BUSINESS!! I told her that I may have some medical bills on my credit but nothing major then she asked me what my Husband made per hour and I told her then she was like well with money like that why do you have those on your credit? I told her that i didn't feel that I needed to explain that to her that I was simply asking a damn question. She was totally out of line with many other things so I quickly got off the phone with her. There is no way i would rent from this place. I am just thankful that I figured that out before I rented a property. I tell ya what ever happened to owners renting out their own properties??? Most property management companies are charging huge deposits and require perfect credit. more

Total lack of respect. Ad for rental home ($1095) said to call G&G, but my call at noon was not returned on Wednesday. I went to the office at 3:30 on Thursday afternoon and it was locked up tight. Applications were on the door. I put the application into the mail slot at 5:30 Thursday... door was locked but lights were on and heat came out of the mail slot. Friday morning I finally received a call from the owner of G&G (Sharon), who is also the owner of the home for rent. We set up an appointment for the next morning -- she let me pick a time. 10:30. Both my daughter and I drove to the home and arrived prior to 10:30. Another couple, who had called after I had called, had been told to show up at the same time !! AND Sharon took them through the home first, even over our protests, asking us to wait outdoors (cold and rainy) in our car until they had finished viewing the home. She said not to worry -- it didn't matter who saw it first, only who applied for it first. When I asked her why she had set a second appointment at the time we had agreed upon, she said it was because people sometimes don't show up. It was Maya Angelou, or Oprah, who said, ""When someone tells you who they are, listen the first time."" A landlord-tenant relationship is one of TRUST. At that point, wouldn't have mattered to me what the house looked like. Oh, she had pre-qualified me (with a lot of invasive questions, just to see a home!) -- I have a credit score over 800 so I am not an unsuitable tenant. more

I've worked with Tom for at least 6 years and he is by far and away the fairest and the most attentive Property Manager I have ever dealt with. I've worked with at least 5 of them prior. Also I have never had any complaints whatsoever from ANY of my tennants . . and that speaks volumes for me. Thank You G&G. Chris more

Gargbage & Ghettoes 12/24/2010

So my husband and I were looking for a new home, not a place to squat, and while reading the paper we came across an add. Nice duplex 2 bdr 1 and half bath with yard off officers row. Wow !! We came, we saw we ran!! The yard was paved with lines up to the front door. The place was a dump.Every time my husband and I see G&G we laugh, Garbage & Ghettoes . You wil see for your self if you look at what they offer. It is very sad that people are so desprate for a home they come to places like this. We have never delt with the people themselves, we just saw what they had to offer EWWW. we have read alot of other reviews as well, and what we thought by judgeing this book by its cover has been true. save some $ and get a nice home more

10+ yrs with them, the basics are solid 8/4/2010

Yes, it's true that Sharon isn't the most sensitive interpersonal communicator sometimes (sometimes she is really nice!), and she is frustratingly cheap on some things, but the basics, the things I would want from a PM company, are solid. The property is good, the rent is fair, and if something major breaks (like the heat went out one time, the plumbing one time...) they are on it immediately. Don't let the mannerisms get to you, she has seen a lot of bs over the years, and maybe a little tough. Just be clear and direct about what you want and what you think is fair. Getting emotional will not help. And I should also mention that Tom has been consistently courteous and helpful. In my experience G&G is honest and solid. more

So.. I did read all these bad reviews about this place... but I thought I'd give them a chance. (silly me) So about two weeks ago I called on a property I was interested in. I called twice and left messages and no one ever called me back. The property is right up the road from where I live now and it's still for rent... I CAN T BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE 6/1/2009

first of all i turned them in to better buisiness bearu.. the dog stench was so bad i made them replace the carpet and they only replaced one room. they lied on the lease and stated they payed garbage and i had to turn them in to get them to pay. after i signed the lease tom informed me that that was wrong and they dont pay garbage. i had rodents and had to fix my own plumbing .. i am waiting to hear from them to see if i get my deposit back .. i reaally say,, staya away from this management company... really.. even heard about them in portland buying a car,, the salesman told me how terrible g and g was to them!!! then the owner told me i could break my lease , so i found a place and then she denied that she ever said that also. please ,, go somewhere else. also i moved and left my key in the kitchen and called them and told them i was out. they sent me a letter from the pud stating i couldnt turn the pud off till i personally turned in the key!!! all electricity was off and what one day.. im sure they will try and charge me .. . whatever,, God bless them anyhoot. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM . i was going threw a bad domestic problem when i HAD to move here., Pros: CLOSE TO HOSPITAL Cons: UNFAIR, RUDE, LYING,CHEAPEST people i have ever dealt with. more

What a joke 12/29/2008

I found a great house in vancouver, i loved it!!! Looked for G&G 's website to see qualifications to rent with them. What we found was this site ""CITY SEARCH"" with many terrible reviews. We looked else where! I had spoken to Tom (a day after my message )who did not know there were bad reviews about them and the woman who answered calls thereswore up and down they have been in business for a very long time , if they were as horrible as it says they would be out of business not convincing loved the property but hate when people are mean for no real reason thank you to all of you who posted how they really are it saved me the trouble. Pros: nice house!! loved the style! Cons: reputation is everything more

Business must be good? 7/15/2008

I have called G&G Properties a total of four times in regards to a property that they have listed for rent. I have also emailed them and have not received a call or email response and it has been a week. Business MUST BE SO GOOD that they don't even need to call back a perspective renter. Now that I have read these other comments about this company I can see why they haven't called back, they just don't care it seems and to be honest who wants to rent from a company like this? Wow...just had my first experience with a property management company while looking for a new place. I do not recommend this team to anyone. Pros: Inexpensive rent Cons: Customer service, legality issues, discriminating, run down listings, complaints from existing tenants. more
