G C Cramer

I had been looking for a special engagement ring for my fiancee and went into G.C. Cramer's Jewelers at the recommendation of a friend while visiting Maine. I am used to the typical chain store experience and was pleasantly surprised by being able to interact directly with the jeweler. Gary was very informative as I had no idea what to look for in a diamond. He asked me about my fiancee's tastes to get a better idea of what she might like. He then showed me some selections and taught me how to compare the clarity, cut and color of each stone using a microscope. He had a beautiful 1930s art deco piece that my now wife absolutely adores. I was impressed with my first experience there. When we got married, we also had him make our wedding bands for us which go beautifully with the era of the engagement ring. He worked with us remotely even though we live on the west coast. more
