Fusion Fitness

Fusion Fitness inexplicably closed their doors out on Cortez Rd in Bradenton, next to the Drivers License Bureau. No mention of closing, no notice, no letter in the mail, nothing!! Yesterday we went to the gym and then today, they were hauling out equipment and there was a sign on the door saying they are out of business. We had signed up for a 2 year contract. Now, we are told that our membership will ONLY be honored at the LifeStyles gym on Cortez behind Hooters. We can't even go to the Fusion Fitness on Rt. 64! We can't get our money back or anything! For $10 more dollars per month, we've been informed that we can use other LifeStyles gyms. ERRRR! Furthermore, our 2 year contract has been shortened to 12 months--after that, we are subject to any rate changes! What was the point of offering us a 2 year contract only 3 months ago! TERRIBLE BUSINESS! NO ETHICS! DON'T BE FOOLED!! They send out mailers every month with sign up offers, but they couldn't even send out one leter informing their existing members of this change???!!! more

Fusion Fitness is the new name of gym's popping up around Bradenton. It is also the new name of the old Westbay/Genesis. The interior has been renovated and it is now extremely nice inside compared to when it was Genesis/Westbay. The floors, the lighting, the layout, the lounges, everything. The new staff's attitudes have improved greatly over Genesis and are very kind. Overall, I find the Fusion Fitness rendition of Old Westbay has been rehauled for the better since I was a member, and new things have been added like kid's care, and a revamped women's part of the gym. I've been in the Fusion Fitness located on 1st St. by the DMV a couple of times, which used to be the old Gold's Gym. It hasn't really changed much at all, but it has always been a pretty nice gym. The rendition of Fusion over there as of now is still visibly a little rough around the edges, but I think they'll do well with it if given some time. From what I know the gym located on Anna Maria Island has also been bought by Fusion, and Id heard of renovations taking place at that location, although I haven't been inside yet, I'm assuming it has improved from what I am told. Of course you can go to any of these gyms on the same membership. And being the gym's just opening they offer some pretty good prices. more
