It's a good place to shop but my experience as a consignor has been terrible. I consigned a desk in July 2008 and it sold within 30 days but I have still not yet received payment. I have personally gone into the store and asked about payment and each time I was told I would receive a check soon. I have asked to talk with the owner but she is never there. I have left messages for the owner to phone me with no results. It has now been 6 months and I still haven't been paid. more

I have been waiting for almost a year to get paid. My stuff sold immediately, but after several phone calls (none returned), I filed a complaint thinking that would solve my non-payment issue or I would at least get the courtesy of a return phone call. NO!!! I am now seeking legal action. When I went into the store for the last time to see about payment, the store had reduced in size by 1/2. Only renting half of the space they were renting last year. Clearly there are financial issues. Beware! Pros: I felt sorry for the sales people, for clearly they are not in charge financially Cons: If you donate your stuff to charity, you at least get a tax write off more

Does not pay consignors 10/31/2008

I consigned with Furniture Exchange in February, 2008. All of my furniture sold in March and I have not seen a penny yet. I have tried to contact the owner and her voice mails for both numbers that the employees gave me were full. I have stopped in several times to see the owner and was told she was not there. She owes me over $1,900.00. I have contacted the Attorney General's office and encourage all other consignors who have not been paid do the same. It appears that the business is now closed. The Attorney General's office said that at least 30 people have filed complaints regarding non-payment. Pros: This was a wonderful business until the current owner bought it. Cons: She does not pay her consignors. Her employees told me that she owes them money for their consignments. more

Slow/No Payment for Consignors 8/13/2008

Consignors Beware! I feel robbed. I had $700 in furniture sell in September 2007, but I have not received one penny. I was promised a check in May 2008 but still haven't seen it. The owner is harder to reach than the President of the U.S. The people who work there are sympathetic and courteous, but no help in getting my money. I would not recommend this to consignors if you expect money in return. Pros: Bargains for shoppers. Cons: Frustrating for consignors. more

Very poor customer relations; I do not recommend consigning here. Pros: Sales staff is helpful and friendly, showroom gets a lot of shoppers.
