***FIRST***The last time I was at the Funky Buddha was about 2 years ago and it was not cool. The ""GM"" was drunk and was harassing all the females, the music was way too ghetto,...

Funky 10/4/2002

A great place to go to meet lots of hotties. Beware, extremely crowded! Pros: lots of hotties, great atmosphere Cons: parking, crowded more

Foul Play 8/2/2002

Didn't appreciate the waitress taking our drinks when they were half full ... six of us thought it was their money making strategy, after we all lost our half full drinks. The atmosphere was cool but overall, not worth the price for half a drink. Pros: music, ambience, bongo player Cons: one lousy waitperson, semi-insincere mgr more

too small 6/20/2002

The FB was way too small, overcrowded, the people were pretty friendly, but I wouldn't wait in line to go there again. Couldn't even go upstairs and this was on a Thursday night. The only good thing was there was no cover Pros: good music Cons: too crowded more

awesome patio 6/19/2002

Thank you Funky Buddha for building a patio that Denverites can be proud of. I recently reserved a table on the patio and was impressed at how they were able to take care of their customers. I never waited in line and the waitress was on top of it. The reservation fee (they let us use towards food or drink) keeps the ""trash"" out. It would have been difficult not to spend $100 for five of us. Thankfully, it is not like the other patios around town, last time I went to LoDo some drunk guy spilled his entire pitcher of beer on me. Buddha, please keep your integrity. Thank you for not ever charging a cover (maybe you should to keep out the losers). Pros: good crowd, people dress up, great martinis more

bogus hot spot 6/17/2002

What's with the $100 per table deposit? We were looking for a fun time and were hugely disappointed in the Funky Buddha. There are plenty of patios in Denver so go ELSEWHERE! more

Straight! 5/24/2002

FB is a cool place to chill esp with the upstairs patio. Nice ambience an it's conducive for mingling if you are hanging out solo. Nice women usually, especially the bartenders! Great music, although the dance floor and the place in general is small. Great alternative to downtown bars. I Recommend it. Pros: atmosphere Cons: small more
