Everything is fresh, inventive and moderately priced. I can't stand going out to eat in places that make you feel as if they're doing you a favor to wait on you. At Full Moon, eve...

The chef cursed me out in front of my 9 year old son! 8/20/2009

Horrible experience ending with the chef saying, ""F**k you"" to me in the street in front of my 9 year old son. The food has always been bad (we only go so the kids can play and we can walk there) and it's loud as hell. My wife tied our dog up outside the restaurant and he was apparently barking while we ate dinner in the corner. (We wouldn't have left him if he usually barks.) Of course I didn't hear a thing the place is so loud. The chef with the beard came chasing me out of the restaurant, asking me not to leave my dog. I apologized, of course, not knowing he had been barking, but this guy wouldn't let up. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out what he was trying to say. I'd already told him I would have gotten the dog sooner if I'd any idea, but he kept going so I walked away -- leading him to use the ripe expletive. What a kid's restaurant, huh? It's not as if it's the first time we've been there -- we've thousand dollars there over the years but he's lost my business permanently. See ya!! Pros: Kids can play. Kids like the food. Cons: Kids may be cursed at. Food not so great for adults. more

very poor service, not realy kid-friendly 12/24/2007

As a family with two toddlers living in the neighborhood, we tried this place a few times. In all of them, the service was clumsy and rushed, even rude at the last time, which was definitely the last for us. The food is overpriced, and still you do not get silverware: you find it in a container on the table with the sharp edges pointing up. This is an accord of a theme: the place only pretends to be kid (and parents) friendly. more

Don't Believe the Hype 7/21/2006

Boston is not the most child-friendly place when it comes to dining with Toddlers with the exception of the usual MacDonalds etc. So I was so excited when I read rave reviews about the Full Moon. Boy was I disappointed. The play area was small and unsafe - child's gate used to security which was not really - a flight downward stairs. There was a hallway leading to the kitchen from the play area but was not secured. Pros: Area for children to play Cons: Overpriced, shoddy decor, no reservation possible - disappointing wait with little children more

Great food for parents, great place for kids 6/28/2006

The food and decor at Full Moon allows parents/caregivers to feel like sophisticatd adults eating great food, while the kids they bring have a blast with the toys, environment, and food at their level. Just a great place. Pros: food, decor, fun for kids Cons: can't make a reservation more

Don't believe the hype! 2/5/2006

Although the food at Full Moon is decent, the overall experience was less than stellar. The wait for a table was twice as long as we were told, and once seated we received horrible service. My husband had to get up from the table and find help repeatedly for simple things like silverware and water. The restaurant claims it is child friendly however, the play area is in a back corner and not visible from most of the tables. On the particular evening I dined there with family and friends there were several rowdy, unsupervised children rough housing in the play area necessitating much intervention from other adults. Pros: family friendly, decent food Cons: horrible service, unsupervised children more

Full at the Full Moon 6/11/2005

Great place for delicious, filling food. Your young child / children will let you eat because they'll be too busy having fun with others in the play room. Staff is patient and accomodating. Pros: good food, beer and wine, kid friendly Cons: fills up quickly, not a lot of parking more
