Overpriced 10/24/2002

Fuddruckers is an overpriced hamburger cafeteria. The lines are frequently long where you order. You do get a pretty darn good burger when you finally do though. You can get equally good food without much of the hassle in plenty of other places. I'd suggest one of those instead. Pros: Tasty Cons: Expensive, Crowded, Unhealthy more

I have to say that Fuddruckers has pretty good food but to give it 10's is just ridiculous. The value is not that great. When I have to pay over 10 bucks to get a burger fries and a drink its not worth a perfect 10 or close. The service is average at best since you serve yourself usually. The plus side to having to spend so much money is you can build it the way you want it. However in my opinion thats the only thing that makes it bearable. Also Fast-food like is questionable from the title description. Folks this isn't a McDonalds or Wendys. Getting your food can be a slow process especially if they are busy. If you dont mind being overcharged go for good flavor and ability to add your own toppings...nothing else stands out here. Pros: Good taste, build own toppings Cons: Expensive!, serve yourself more

I have never had a fresher tasting burger. The condiment bar has more FRESH veggies than a lot of salad bars I've been to. This is hands down the best burger for the money. Red, not pink tomatoes, make a fantastic hamburger. Maybe someday the other burger joints will get a clue. Restaurant has a bit of clutter, and is very noisy at times, but, if you're there for food and not atmosphere, you will be in for a treat!!! Really Great 10/21/2002

Fuddruckers has the best fries I have ever eaten. They are tasty and seasoned, but not overly seasoned. They taste really great with the cheese sauce they provide with at the condiments table. They have really good food for the price and the atmosphere is really laid back and relaxing. more

Undercooked! Overrated! 10/13/2002

I waited 6 months to come back. I should have waited longer (like never). This place is in too much rush to get you the food (but it still takes a long time). I ordered medium and got rare. My partner ordered medium well, and got barely medium rare. They just are in such a hurry to get the food out the quality has suffered. But it's great for kids. As long as you don't have to eat here, its a great place to come. Pros: neat memorabilia Cons: food, service, attitude more

There are so many other places in Houston to eat that have MUCH BETTER burgers! The local restaurants that work to hard to provide good good deserve so much more recognition than a mere chain restaurant! Come on Houston! I have never had a great burger at Fudruckers, maybe a good good, but nothing more! more

Too fast means not fresh 9/5/2002

Recently ate at the Woodlands location at 2:00p.m. Served my burger one minute after I ordered it! Naturally, it was well done (ordered medium) and dried out. The bun also tasted like it had been toasted earlier and set aside to dry out. Terrible product. Please-I expect to wait for you to cook my burger for me. I can go to mickey d's for half the money if I want to get something cooked ahead of time. Serve a good burger not a fast burger. Cons: product precooked, dried out burger, game machines more

Chains don't mean consistency 8/30/2002

My wife and I usually stop by the Fuddruckers in the Willowbrook mall area - the food and environment are usually above standards so one day we tried the Fudds on 1960 and had a horrible experience. A simple order for two was messed up not once but twice. First the orders were switched due to temperature preference and the type of burger we ordered. Second time around my burger had been burned to a crisp. Soda fountain was out of Coca-Cola and was not replaced during the time of our meal. To top it off even the restroom had looked like it had not been cleaned in a week. Just because Fuddruckers is a chain don't expect the best from each individual store as well as with other chains... Hamburger Heaven 8/30/2002

This place makes Dave and Ronald cry. The patties are fresh as well as the bread. Best of all you can dress your burger with as much or as little of the toppings. The 50's style decore is great looking. If you went on dates to a dinner as a teenager it might bring back romantic memories. more

Hambuger Heaven 8/30/2002

Fuddruckers is one of the only places I can get a burger cooked exactly the way I like. Too many places either cook too long or not long enough to get any flavor. The unlimited combinations of condiments & ways to get you vegetables sliced, diced or chopped, is the bomb. Being a baby of the 50's, I enjoy the atmosphere. Two thumbs up! more
