Fresh Market Inc The

Fresh Market offers a unique selection of foods that you won't find in your regular grocery store chain. Whenever I am looking for a speciality baking ingrediant, I always check Fresh Market first. Usually they have what I need. Their selection of candy and chocolates is amazing: many of the chocolates that they carry are European brand names. They carry my wife's favorite chocolate bar: Lion Bar. Needless to say, I have to swing through Fresh Market in order to pick up a few Lion Bars whenever I am in the doghouse and always before Christmas. The meat selection is wonderful and meat quality is out of this world. Prices are higher, but I feel you get what you pay for and in this case: awesome meat! Not where I shop every week, but I do enjoy shopping there. more

My favorite part of this fresh market is their candy selection. not your ususal grocery store fare of MandMs and Snickers bars they have a tremendous selection of candy by the pound including every jelly belly flavor of jelly bean known to man. They have some fantastic truffles as well. Beyond the candy, they have a decent selection of specialty groceries as well. more

Whole Foods specializes in Organic food. From what i can tell the Fresh Market specializes in overpriced food. Most of the things taht you find here you can find a block away in the Harriss Teeter for a dollar less. You pay for the classical music and the dimly lit setting. There are a few items here you can find at the teeter, and again I may be missing some of the draw of the place. From what i can tell though, overpriced. more

The Fresh market grocery store is very similar to the Whole Foods market. The Fresh market tends to be smaller and offer less variety. The prices at both stores are similar and they offer similar fare. The bakery at The Fresh market is better in my opinion, but the variety is limited. more
