Great service, friendly employees, and great prices 8/30/2007

I recently had took my first trip to Frenchys Beauty Parlor. At first i was hesitant about going anywhere with beauty parlor in the tital, but after my friends convinced me to go I dont think i'll ever have my hair done anywhere else. I was helped by Lacey Magdaline, and with her help and suggestion i got a great hair cut and some great highlights. If youre in the area, or even if not ( I live in culver city) I suggest you try Frenchys Beauty Parlor, and ask for Lacey. >_< Pros: great atomosphere, freindly service more

Lacey saved my life!!! 8/30/2007

Well not my life, but my hair!!! I read on here all of her reviews... and sure enough, I went to her with my mangeled hair and she restored it back to being beautiful!! If you read all these reviews on her (because 90% are about her) You will see that they are all accurate and then some. The salon was so cute, and I got a nice cold Coca-cola. I got the most amazing scalp massage by the girl Nicole. She was super sweet and did a great job. Lacey listened to everuthing I had to say, and I left with just what I wanted. Thank you Lacey. I will see you soon! If you are in search of a good hair dresser, look no further! Pros: Lacey, Nichole's scalp massage, cold drinks. Cons: Barking dogs, but its not that bad. more

Frenchy's is probably the most adorable place that could ever help a girl out. My hair is always something that needs a lot of attention and my beautiful love of my life Vanessa has the magic touch to make the mess on my head into something that people can't stop complimenting. She has so much experience and just a great eye for beautiful hair for dudes and chicks so I say that you should go there and sit in her chair she'll treat you like a prince or princess and you'll look like one when shes done. The girls in the shop are all beautiful! they make you feel like its home away from home and its just an awesome place to get gorgeous so go there and see Vanessa she wont dissapoint you! Love me some Vanessa 8/22/2007

I love Frency's & I love Vanessa! As soon as you walk in the door, everyone is so friendly and fun. What a great atmosphere! As far as hair goes, in the time I have been going I haven't seen anyone walk out not loving their experience whether it be a complete transformation or just some upkeep. Vanessa is my girl and she does me good every time. I trust her completely with my hair and that is a BIG statement for me! She has great instincts and wants you to look your best. Not only is she great at what she does, she is such a good-hearted and fun-loving person. I have sent friends to her and will continue to give her the highest of recommendations. Wanted Red? Got Red!! 8/22/2007

I went in there wanting to go Red, and I came out lookin' like Mary Jane Watson!!! What a place. Fun atmosphere, Vanessa knew exactly what I wanted, and she delivered! (Which reminds me, I need to go get my roots done soon). So, get your booty there and ask for VANESSA! That little curly haired firecracker will give you what you want (when it comes to hair, hair removal, and making your skin oh so pretty!) Don't wait, get your appointment with VANESSA! more

i haven't had a hair cut in a while and i went on citysearch to find a new salon. that's how i came across frenchy's and their stylist lacey. i love the new haircut THANKS A BUNCH LACEY!!! i'll be referring you to my friends. Good haircut, good atmosphere, good prices and Lacey! 7/2/2007

I had been a nomad in search of THE best haircut for many years. Recently I got my hair cut on Melrose Avenue and came home in tears. Again. In frustration I went on Citysearch and read about Frenchy's - Lacey in particular. I made an appointment. Lacey revamped my bad haircut and now has me as a forever client. I'm 52 and my biggest complaint is that hairstylists seem to have three basic over-40 styles that they insist on giving me. While I don't want to look like I'm trying to pretend I'm 20, I certainly am not ready to look like a granny! Lacey gives me a contemporary style that looks good on ME rather than a standard 'old-lady' cut. Also, I've met many stylists who could learn a lot about how to calm a nervous customer down from Lacey. 'Cus I can be pretty anxiety ridden when it comes to my hair. Lacey is great. Artistic and Exceptional! 6/26/2007

I was one of those annoying people with very long hair that wanted a new look, but without loosing length. I went to Lacey Magdelane and asked her to "work her magic" which is excactly what she did! She took my personality and wishes into consideration and I walked out with the best haircut Ive ever had. I still had very long hair, but with an edge to it. I ended up with the kind of hairstyle that I would have seen on the street and thought..."thats what I want!" but could have never been able to describe it. She is an artist in her craft and I will continue to back again and again. Frency's has a great look and attitude which is evident as soon as you walk through the doors. If you want an artistically crafted look that is true to who you are, Frenchy's (and Lacey especially) is the place. Three thumbs up (that is -if I had a third hand! HA!) Pros: very welcoming, friendly rescued dogs that greet you at the door, funky vibe Cons: parking aint great, but thats nothing compared to what you get once youre inside more

I have been living out in Los Angeles for a year now and have been fearful of highlights after a bad experience. I found Frenchy's through citysearch and decided to try after reading the good and bad reviews. I called ahead to check the age demographic which is mostly 20s and 30s but they do all ages. I had blonde highlights put in my hair by Marissa. She was very nice and did a great job. She definitely knew what she was doing. I felt safe with my hair in her hands. The price was great too! They don't charge you extra for blow-dry or styling like most places do. My full weave was under $100 and well worth it. The result looks like I spent $300. Awesome job! You know what? I read on this site... all these wonderful reviews on Lacy. And sure enough... She is what everyone talks about. I had a really good experience. I have been back three times now, for cuts, and color. Lacy accomidates my every hair need. I have never found a hair dresser that does such a good job on my hair. It grows out perfectly. I could not be happier. The salon is as cute as can be. They always ask me if I want something to drink, I get a scalp or hand rub. Lacy is funny, and nice, and makes you feel at ease... I trust her. Juliana is the best! 5/9/2007

I have been going to Juliana for some time a now, and she has never disappointed me! I went to her for a color and cut today and as usual, I walked out with beautiful, shiny hair and super cute bangs! I am specific about my hair, and she always goes out of her way to meet my needs. She really listens and cares about her clients. My hair is significantly healthier since I have been going to her. She is so down to earth and fun and will take care of you and your hair! The salon is so sweet. Cute decor, friendly staff and great prices. Plus, they give hand massages while you wait! Talk about great customer service! Pros: Juliana is the best! I got my hair cut, and styled by Lacey Magdalene. It's seriously the best thing that has ever happened to my hair! My overall experience at Frenchy's was AWESOME. Lacey made me feel very comfortable, and my hair looks great. I've definitely found a new hair stylist in her. Seriously, GO SEE HER. Your hair will thank you. more

Hello I have had my hair done several times at frenchys and it was the BEST EXPEIRENCE! Lacey Magdeline is such a sweetheart she has done my extentions 2 times and I get tons of compliments no one can beleive that they are extentions they look so real and no one can tell they are soooo good!, she is soooo good at what she does she is super quick and does a faboulus job, the shop is beautiful and so hip I love it I even got a hand massage when I was there I felt like a queen, I would reccoment lacey to anyone and everyone she is soooo AMAZING! she made my hair the best it had ever been, I wont go to anyone other than her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I must say.... I am hooked! Thanks Lacey, you deserve the raves! 5/7/2007

I have driven by this salon many times, and was always reluctant to go in. I came on line and saw they were in the top 10 salons... and then found lacey here on city search. I went in to give it a try. I was very nervous, because I have had so many bad experiences in the past. She was funny, nice, and got what I was trying really hard to explain, even tho I didnt do a good job. The cut was amazing, and so was the color. I was so happy when I walked out of the salon. I was scared she would not be available, but she was... thank god! I washed my hair, and styled it myself, and it is still perfect (thats the true test). It has been 2 weeks and it still looks amazing. Lacey is a god send. All the raves on here are fully deserved. And if you are looking for a new stylist for life.... you must go see this woman. So long as Lacey is at frenchys, I will be too. They offer drinks, people are polite, lacey was very nice, they give hand massage with color, parking was easy. Dont pass it up! Pros: Lacey Magdalene Cons: None so far. more

GO SEE JULIANA! 5/5/2007

I'm always a little scared going to a new place to get my hair done but this place was so inviting! I called Frenchy's after passing it almost everyday and got booked with Juliana. She is not only extremely talented she's also a blast! She had me laughing so hard, it was hard to keep my head still! She also gave me the BEST head message during the wash, big plus. I'm so happy with my cut and color, i will for sure be going back every 6 weeks! Pros: no attutude, fun people, lots of skill Cons: none more

Amber is my hair whisperer! 5/4/2007

I have very stubborn hair and after years of not being able to get it the color I wanted or managing the thickness my boyfriend recommended that I go see Amber. She was not only a complete doll but she gave me an awesome cut and the color was perfect. I drive all the way from San Francisco to have her do my hair. I have many hairstylist friends and they are equally amazed at how Amber was able to get my bad hair to behave. I can't recommend her highly enough. Fun Atmosphere, Skilled Stylists 4/4/2007

I went to Frenchy's after reading about it on citysearch. I chose it for its good reviews and reasonable prices. Shasta Rose cut and highlighted my hair and she did an awesome job. She really listened to what I wanted and gave her 2 cents on everything and I felt confident when she started. I couldn't be happier with the results! I posted my new pic on myspace yesterday and I've already had 10 comments from people loving my hair! The salon definitely has a good atmosphere and little Chalupa adds to the fun! (She is the owner's chihuahua). Bonus: you get a free hand/arm massage while your color processes, or if you're just getting a hair cut you get a free scalp massage at the beginning. I will definitely be going back to Shasta Rose! Pros: Skilled and friendly staff Cons: Can't add tip to credit card more

The Best People and Best Place Around! 3/27/2007

In all my life, i had never had a professional haircut, and after much thinking, i decided it was time to get it done. After I talked to Lacey, I had found a totally rad stylist in an awesome place, Frenchy's. While i was having my hair done, Lacey made me feel very comfortable, as i was very nervous. After she was finished, i was amazed at what a great job she had done! I have since returned for a new style, and what Lacey created for me is awesome! I get compliments all the time! I have recommended Frenchy's and Lacey to all of my friends, and will continue to do so! Pros: Great People, Great Service, Great Facility more
