Easy sale in Bend 12/1/2007

I recently bought my first car from Eric in Bend Oregon. We were very happy with all aspects of the experience. No hard core sales, which would have been a big turn off. We just told them what we wanted to test drive and away we went. I would highly recommend Freeman Motors to anyone looking to buy a European car. I love my new car. Cmart Pros: great place more

Pleasure to do business 12/1/2007

Just purchased a 2004 Jag from Freeman's new Bend Store. The staff went out of their to be accommodating including putting the car on the lift so I could check every inch of the undercarriage. When it was time to test drive-no pushy salesman in the seat next to me. My wife and took it for a real test drive. Pros: Low pressure staff, well maintained cars, excellent values Cons: Only European cars more

Best car buying experience yet! 11/30/2007

Went down to Freeman after looking at their inventory. I was impressed with the selection as well as the prices. Typically car buying is horrendous due to the games as well as the pressure of someone breathing down your neck so I wasn't overly thrilled about having to go buy a car but since my old one was totaled I was stuck. My husband and I were shocked that no one bothered us. We were able to walk around the lot and look at all of the cars without a sales person yakking in our ears. Once we decided on one to test drive we got the keys and were able to go without the sales person. We loved the car, struck a deal and were gone twenty minutes later! We were so impressed that we sent my mother down and she also bought a car from Freeman. A week after that my husband also purchased a car from them and couldn?t be happier. We are all thrilled. Thanks!!! Pros: Wasn't bugged more

Great palce to buy a used premium car at a fair price 11/29/2007

I've bought my third car from Les at Freeman Motors. These guys are true car people and seem to be able to buy nice cars to sell to the public at very reasonable prices. No pressure or hovering which is important to me as I take my time looking over a used car before purchase, especially as much as late model Mercedes and BMWs cost, even at the good deals Freeman sells them for. All three have checked out mechanically. I took each one I bought to the appropriate new car dealer and had the next major service performed as I always do after I purchase a used car. The cars passed with flying colors. I've had my SL from them for over a year now and it has been a very low cost maintenance vehicle and I got it for a LOT less than the new car Mercedes dealers were selling the same year SL for. You may not get a ""Certified"" car but you save multiple $1,000s over what the new car dealers sell the same used car for. Great people to buy from. Pros: Great prices on really nice cars Cons: Closed Mondays more

Good selection of quality european imports at reasonable prices 11/27/2007

We purchased a 1998 E320 MB wagon which had only 48k miles but did have a few minor mechanical problems. The salesman lowered the price according to the estimated repair costs and a few dollars more to be sure. The repair did cost more than the estimate, but we still got a very good deal on a car that now looks, feels, and drives like a new car. However, be aware that a good used-car purchase requires doing your own homework prior to agreeing to a price and signing that check. This includes a mechanical inspection, KBB and NADA valuation comparison, and carfax history report. The salesman did not mention the problems with our car; I found the problems myself because I am a mechanic and I inspected the car prior to negotiations. Freeman Motor Company performed the carfax right in front of us in the sales office, and we brought a price/valuation spreadsheet that we prepared from NADA, KBB and price data from print and internet ads. That's how I KNOW I got a fair deal. A high mileage older car has many more parts approaching the end of their life cycle. Exposed to the elements vs. garage kept; regularly maintened vs. neglected and abused; college kids partying out the sunroof, or grandma picking up groceries; when buying a used car, it is as much about the previous owner(s) as it is about the miles and age. After all, all cars run on used parts; over 30,000 moving parts that all wear out over time. Even new cars break - thats why they have warranties. So something is always aproaching the end of its designed life cycle; tires, brakes, belts, hoses, fluids, bushings, bearings, and even the loose nut behind the steering wheel eventually wears out. Our family greatly appreciates the work Freeman Motor puts into finding high quality used cars and making them available at fair prices in a pleasant, professional environment. If you need a high-quality, used european luxury car or other specailty auto at a reasonable price, we recommend trying Freeman Motor Company. Pros: Good selection of clean cars at reasonable prices, quick and helpful sales staff Cons: It's a business that needs to make money, so you still have to be on your toes as a buyer more

GREAT DEAL, GREAT CAR, GOOD SERVICE, LET ME TEST DRIVE THE CAR ON MY OWN! 11/27/2007

I saw an ad for the car I was looking for, on Craigslist. It was a car being advertised by Freeman (FMC). I called ahead to make the sure the car was still available. I went there, and signed a form, and FMC (Brandon) gave me the key. I took off in it for 30 minutes. I came back, asked questions, and through no pressure at all, I decided to buy the car. FMC put $40 worth of gas in it and I was on my way. The car had some known, pre-advertised issues. I made a deal to purchase the car at a certain price with the known issues to be repaired as part of the deal. After a couple of SNAFUs, my new car's issues got repaired by the friendly, helpful repair staff (Sterling). AND, they gave me a loaner car to use while the known issues were being fixed/repaired. Pros: Great selection, Easy Processes, Great Low Prices Cons: Too far to travel if you don't live in SW Portland area (but worth the drive if you are a serious buyer). more

Not your typical used car dealer!!!!!! 11/27/2007

The people at Freeman were great. From start to finish they were professional, honest and a total pleasure. I would definitely buy from them again. No pressure, spotless car, nice people. In and out in under an hour! The car was a great deal as well! more

Freeman motors great cars & great service 11/27/2007

This summer I purchased my 5th (over 4 year period) car from Freeman Motors. They have the best selection and prices on used European luxury vehicles in the Portland Metro area. I often refer people there and they come away impressed with Eric and his staff and their selection, prices and service. If you're in the market for a vehicle check them out you wont be dissapointed. Pros: great prices, high quality cars Cons: 0 more

Honest and Direct Customer Service 11/25/2007

Purchased a first used car for our daughter. Really appreciated the ""no-pressure"" sales people. They were helpful and direct - let us know what made sense and what didn't for our needs. They didn't try to sell us something just because it was more money or ""fancier"". PLUS, the whole sales transaction took less than an hour once we had decided on a car. Thank you! more

Very Professional 11/25/2007

We found a cute BMW Z3 on Freeman Motor's website, went down to their lot, test drove it, got it financed, and were out in less than 2 hours. It was fantastic! And we love our new convertible! Pros: Great environment, no pushy salesman. more

Best Used Car Dealer in Town! 11/17/2007

I've purchased two cars from this dealership, one from Marshall at the Hood store and one from Les at the Macadam store and both transactions were great. Both cars had minor mechanical issues: an engine compartment wiring harness in the first car, and a heater core in the second. Both mechanical issues were disclosed before I purchased the cars. I've never bought a car from a dealer or a private party and had them tell me what was wrong with the car before I bought it. I highly recommend this dealership and will purchase more cars from them in the future! Pros: Honest sales staff, great used cars at very low prices more

Never By a car from Freeman 7/23/2007

I bought an 2001 Audi A6 2.7T. Ever since the car has been in and out of the shop and has had over $8500 worth of work done on it. I am just glad that I bought a waranty with it. Cons: Shady people, problem cars. more

Avoid Freeman Motors - Shady Products and Sales 3/24/2007

The auto I purchased was a complete ""Lemon"". I have concluded Freeman's Motor's has low prices due to the lack of concern regarding the vechicle condition. If you want to take a chance on the worst product on the market, use Freeman. Also, known for the shady saleman, be very careful. Cons: Shady practices more
