Freedom Maids

I also bought a voucher for Freedom Maids. Boy what a mistake that was--so bad I that I will never buy anything from Living Social again. I called several times before I spoke with anyone that would schedule an appointment. Little did I know it would have been better if I had never reached them. I scheduled an appointment--but no one showed up. I called Freedom Maids and they said my security code did not work. Turns out they left out a number--strangely my neighbors never saw anyone at my house. Freedom then wanted to reschedule for the next day but I couldn't. We rescheduled for two days later, however, when I got home the next day it seemed as if someone had been in my house. Personal papers which had not been secured (because no one was supposed to be there) were moved and floor was streaked like someone had tried to mop my wood floors with too much water. The house had not been dusted but the fronts of the shelves had been wiped leaving a streak. No bathrooms had been cleaned nor had the upstairs been touched. I called Freedom and she said no one had been there but even if there had it would be re-cleaned the next day. She said she would find out what happened and get back to me--she never did. When they did not come--I called again. The lady now was not nice she said they had already cleaned my house and it was filthy that is why they only partially cleaned the living room and kitchen. I have had my house cleaned for years and have never had anyone suggest that it was filthy--in fact many times they finish before the three hour period was up. After Freedom I had to clean up the mess that they made. At first they promised a refund then her husband called back to threaten me about making a complaint with Living Social. I told him I was making the complaint. (It did little good--Living Social never even called me just them) I know this sounds like someone who just wants to complain but I really am pretty forgiving of poor service. I once came home to find the cleaning lady in my spa tub talking on the phone--after I left she got out cleaned my house. I didn't fire or write a review on that company--at least she cleaned!!! All I got from Freedom was two broken bottles of wine, streaked floors and the need to change all my financial and security information. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! more

bought a voucher for Freedom Maids and scheduled an aapointment for 12/12/13. They called back to reschedule same day for 12/13/13. On 12/13, came home, nothing was done. They never showed. Tried to call that day and manager in San Antonio wouldn't talk to me, nor the owner in Houston. Tried again on Monday, still no response. After leaving 30+ messages, they still didn't know my phone number. \r \r Do business with these people, leave them unattended in your home at your own risk. Living Social refunded my money, I'll assume because this isn't the only complaint on this place. more
