My wife and me went for the first time. Poor service, which I can sacrifice for good food. But, the food was not very good. The salsa was good, but it was served with cold stale chips that must have been left over from lunch. The margarita that I had was very tasty and the beer my wife had was cold. We ordered a chicken quesadilla as an appetizer, it was good, then down hill from there. She had the taco dinner with rice and side salad. I had a three choice combo with chimichanga, beef enchilada, and chile relleno. The tacos were cold, dry and tasteless, my enchilada, the beef was rubbery, dry, and stringy. The chile relleno was under cooked (the batter like undercooked scrambled eggs) and extremely salty. The rice was crunchy, like it was undercooked or left over. We ordered a side of guacamole, it did not have much flavor. I have never had quacamole that had to be mixed with sour cream, unless they were using sub par or over riped avacados. I lived in San Antonio, and San Diego and have had some very good Mexican and Tex Mex food that set the standard for my taste. This place was absolutely horrible. I have to say that when I got home, the wad that was sitting in my stomach made it's way into the toilet in no time. I do not recommend this place or food to anyone. I challenge any good review to try a place like El Campasino's to try what a good Mexican food place has to offer, and at a fair price. Sixty dollars to vomit my meal was a little steep.
