We got a jacuzzi room here. The first one had no air conditioning, no hair dryer, no coffee maker, and no ice bucket. We were told maintenance would fix it. We come back to the ro...

We will definitley be coming back 10/31/2010

Six months ago we purchase tickets to six flag for my family's upcoming trip. We were in Cincinnati all excited to go to six flags; Only to find out that they weren't six flag anymore. We pulled up waterparks and discover Fort Rapids which was about 2 1/2 hours drive. The kids were excited so we purchase 8 tickets and proceed to the water park. Wow my kids had a blast after riding all the slides. It was just perfect for our family; the staff were very friendly and willing to answer all our questions. We got a villa suite which had everyhing to cater to our needs. Nicely laid out, private bedrooms and bathrooms. On the day of check out we had the opportunity to swim all day again. This is now our family vacation destination because of price and distance we will definitely be back. more

Wonderful experience!: 10/7/2010

Fort Rapids hotel and waterpark is a wonderful spot for a family vacation, whether staying for a whole week or just a weekend. They do not offer day passes to people not staying in the hotel, which is very nice because the waterpark does not get overcrowded. There are virtually no lines to wait in to get on any of the rides. The atmosphere is extremely kid friendly with alot of games, rides and attractions for even the littlest of cowboys and cowgirls. There are also several water slides and a vortex intertube slide for older "kids" (and parents, of course). The fun, western atmosphere also includes "old time photo" shoots, western themed decorations, and a "saloon" style restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is excellent. But the best attraction (for parents) is the locator wrist bands. By scanning your wrist band at one of several terminals located throughout the water park and hotel you can locate anyone in your party. This was very helpful for us when we got separated from our son. We were able to scan our wrist band and find that he had wandered into the arcade. Overall this was a great experience for our children. The water park is smaller than some of the ones in Sandusky, Ohio near lake Erie, but it is by far the biggest and best in central Ohio. There is also alot of nearby restaurants including Indian, Italian and Middle Eastern if the hotel restaurant gets old after a few meals. Our children loved the waterpark, and we loved the overall atmosphere. We will definately visit again! more

We can't wait for out next trip! 9/28/2010

June 18th to the 20th 2009…This was our fourth trip to Fort Rapids Water Park. I can’t complain about any of the stays. A few times things didn’t go perfect and we were not always treated as kings and queens but all in all every trip has been a blast and our two kids have enjoyed it. I stay in hotels 22 nights a month, and the things that happen here, happen everywhere. But please note that there is a world of difference between the tower rooms, (which are old and worn), and the villa rooms which are new and fancy with super big flat screens and fireplaces, way over the top compared to other hotels. We have always been treated fine and have had very good service every time. The arcade is nice and well maintained. The food bar inside the water park is good & not very expensive. We have never entered the water park without someone greeting us at the door. We have always felt very comfortable letting the kids take in the whole inside Water Park knowing that they can't get out without us. I have had credit card issues and management went out of their way to assist me. On one trip our toilet would not flush and they moved us to a huge Villa room for no extra charge. After that I never wanted to stay in a tower room again. (But I have) The kids have enjoyed the Kid Carson tower rooms with their own bunks and flat screen TV. Once they charged my credit card double and they went out of their way to call my card company and fax them a letter explaining and correcting the problem. Another time I had an American Express Gift card that they had to get approval for over the phone, it turned out to be a drawn out ordeal, and they worked on it until it was approved. Everyone has been polite and helpful from the employees in the gift shop to the maids you pass in the hallway. You get what you pay for, for three 3 full days of water parking and fun for less than $500.00 what do you expect. We have as much fun as going to the beach and it only takes us a little over an hour instead of the 10 hours. We always go 2 times a year during school summer vacation and I can’t wait until our next trip in August. more

Thank you Fort Rapids 9/20/2010

Our family of 30 stayed on a Saturday Night. The room was so much nicer than I expected, Waterpark was a ball and well supervised, restaruant offered excellent service and there is so much more there for everyone. Arcade room, art tables, kiddie kareoke, dance lessons, the kids got to hear stories from Mrs. Clause and had breakfast with Santa. There is a nice bar for the adults. We are going to make it a new family tradition, everyone had a ball. Thank you Fort Rapids more
