Forme Salon

I've been going to Jennifer for about 4 years now- and she is fantastic (if not a little busy, due to how awesome she is)!! My main concern with getting highlights is that the hairdresser really blend the color well and take the time to put in as many foils as it takes to make your hair look naturally awesome-- not the stripey elimadate effect. Even for a partial, Jennifer really takes her time, adds hi-lights and low-lights-- so your hair has depth and shine-- who needs Ken Paves?!? She's made many of the men in my life look much cooler with new haircuts as well. Now all of my friends go to her or one of the other stylists at forme. They've all worked together for a really long time and it's a fun environment-- if only they'd serve champagne! Then it would be perfect. If you can't get in with Jennifer- make an appt. with Ryan, the very cute (and straight!) stylist. Love this place! Pros: Parking!! Juice and Coffee, Excellent cut and color Cons: Ain't cheap! I found Forme on Citysearch and decided to give it a try because my hair needed fixing...FAST! Since I didnt know anyone there, I asked for Doreen after reading about her here...and I am glad I did! She took the time to ask me questions about my hair, how much time I spend on it, what I am comfortabel with. This girl really knows her stuff! That really made me comfortable. She also took the time to teach me how to style my hair so I dont look like a poodle after I wash it and so it continues to look nice. I am glad I went to Forme and I am surely asking for Doreen again! more

Thank god for Ixie and the Forme salon!!! I had horrible hair trauma (bad cut and color). I was so scared to try anyone else but would burst into tears when looking in the mirror. I began to look around at work and try to spot someone with amazing hair. Finally, I ran into someone who told me about Ixie. I made an apt, sat in the chair and literally....just said....HELP! I had hoped to just look better than I had walking in the door, but I walked out feeling and looking fabulous. In the weeks since the appointment my hair still looks great. Even when I style it myself, it looks rather amazing which i think speaks to an amazing cut.\r The new salon is going to ROCK!!!! Everyone that walks out, regardless of who their stylist is - looks fantastic. The staff is all friendly and professional. They have tons of good magazines and coffee (a salon essential for me). The prices are afffordable and worth every cent! I really feel like I've done something nice for me when I leave. And, if you plan my day/evening well I can even make a quick stop at the Promenade which is just two blocks away.\r Thank you Ixie and team, I don't know where I'd be without you.\r Pros: Everything! FORME Salon & Spa is the best new place to be pampered in Santa Monica! I recently got my hair cut, colored, styled, and even squeezed in a bikini wax. Jeannie works wonders with the scissors and comb. And Stephanie is the best aesthetician. The salon itself is gorgeous and modern, amazing customer service, and free parking to boot! I am not the type of person who has ever spent money on my hair and I'm sure it showed. However, I went to Forme on a friend's recommendation and I am hooked. I was initially intimidated because I've never been to a nice salon for a haircut but the girls at the front desk were extremely friendly (and not bad looking either!) The atmosphere and personalities in this place alone are worth the price of a men's haircut (which I hear is actually very reasonable). I went to Jennifer who is AWESOME! It was like hanging out with an old friend except she also gave me a great haircut. I needed a professional haircut for my new job but not too boring. She nailed it! I didn't want to leave when it was over. GREAT SERVICE, GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT PLACE! I highly recommend checking it out. Pros: Awesome Atmosphere, Friendly People and Very Professional, Head Massage!!! I was recently in LA and had my eyebrows shaped by Stephanie at Forme. She was wonderful and my eyebrows are absolutly perfect! Stephanie is a Brow Godess!!! more

I found out last minute that I was going to be hitting the with Jani Lane from Warrant, I had played drums for Warrant 3 years ago. I looked in the mirror 3 years later and saw all the grey hair! I the web via city search and came across some reviews on the Forme Salon and thought I would give it a shot. With the pressure of trying to get all my ducks in a row for this tour I made the call and the Forme staff were very accomidating to my schedule and Ixie one of the Hairstylist's had came in early to get me some color back into my grey's. So with that out of the way I am off to bring the ROCK to all the kids across the America's! Forme really made it happen! Please do yourself a favor come in and ENJOY Forme Salon! more

Walked in , did not know it was in the neighborhood. I was taken care of the same day and got a great hair cut. Defenitely going back again, already booked my waxing.\r Everyone working there looked like they were out of a fashion magazine and would have attitude, but they were the opposite. I think the attitude of the desk girl, shampoo girl and haircutter was my favorite part.\r They were accomodateing and had a high level of customer service. I went to Forme salon last week for a color correction. I had a little brassy tone going on (from another salon) that I needed fixed...fast! Luckily for me, these women don't mess around. One look at my hair and I could tell they saw way beyond my color and on to the solution...in seconds! Doreen fixed my color perfectly. \r And, I have gotten the chance to meet the owners and I can say they are totally professional and are all about giving QUALITY service WITHOUT ATTITUDE!!\r I TRUST them completely, no matter what kind of ""please fix my hair!"" crisis I have going on. And I know since their philosophy is to treat the client with respect, that is the expecation of all their employees, and it shows!!! I could not be more pleased! \r \r July 07 Update...\r \r Add Cynthia to the list of fabulous hair professionals...wow! I could have sat getting my scalp massaged forever...I really wanted to! and of course the coloring turned out great! No one HAS to know what color my real hair color is, right? Blended perfectly. But the scalp massage...did I mention the massage.... Pros: Staff, ambience, Spacious salon---WOW! Cons: I can only find time to go to Forme once a month more

I had gone to Lynette at another salon and recently tried to get a haircut and she was not there !\r In my search(no one else was going to touch my head) I found out that Lynette and two other stylists opened their own salon.\r I went in thinking that she must have scaled down ( it didnt matter if she worked in her garage I would have gone to her) I was blown away when I walked in the door , her salon was bigger, brighter and much cooler than the other place.\r I could not get a haircut right then because she is so booked , but Im on the wait list and wait is what I will do to get a haircut by her !\r Defenitely check it out , and call before to make an appt with her , she is worth it !\r Pros: library parking , cool ambience,great haircut and shampoo massage more

I have only been moved to write 2 reviews on citysearch, so you better read this!\r \r I have been seeing my stylist, Ixie, for almost 8 years now. She knows what she is doing! I trust her instincts when it comes to my hair. She will be frank when you come in with some new fangled style that just will never look right on you and steer you towards something that will make people stop and look. \r \r When I walk down the street strangers always comment on my hair. When women ask which color I use...I smile and hand then Ixie's card because she is the master-mixer, diva of color. It's very difficult to find a stylist who gets cut AND color. Look no more, Ixie keeps me looking amazing and turning heads without 3 different appointments with 3 different stylists. Do you feel comfortable enough to say to your hair stylist ""just make me gorgeous?!"" Then go see Ixie, at her new salon Forme. \r \r This new spot makes the salon she used to work at look like a shack. Space-like pods and chain mail curtains flow around two story mirrors making the salon feel mod and clean, but warm at the same time with all of the smiling faces. The spa is beautiful with Spanish tile and state of the art facilities. I truly love Ixie and her new Salon - Forme - and encourage you to check it out. Pros: Freindly Staff, Talented Stylists, Sleek Atmosphere, Ample Parking in Back Cons: So close to 3rd Street Promenade you will spend too much money there because you will feel like a million bucks when you leave the salon. more
