Foot Specialists of Georgetown

Dr. Shine John is an excellent Podiatrist and I would highly recommend him. I had a total of 4 metatarsal fractures on my third and fourth bones. I originally went to a medical clinic, thinking I had a sprain or possible break. Upon Xray, the clinic realized I had multiple fractures. They referred me to Dr. John and he was able to work me into his schedule and see me immediately, due to my tight time line. I was flying out the next day on an important business trip. Dr. John and his wonderful nurse, Lorraine, made sure I had all the approrpiate x-rays, CT scans, lab work, the hospital appointment for future surgery, prescriptions, foot padding, boot, crutches, etc. all within hours. They accomodated my travel schedule and advised me how to fly with a broken foot-never judged-just gave me very sound medical advise and sincere caution. Upon my return, I was operated on within the week and became the proud new owner of 3 titanium plates and 9 pins. Dr. John took meticulous care during surgery and what was to be a 2 hour surgery, resulted in over 4 hours of surgery. He has incredible attention to detail while having a great personality and outstanding patient care. His entire staff is efficient and friendly. I have never had to wait for an appointment. While it appears his collegue, Dr. Hurst has received some negative reviews on City Search for wait time, I have always had a very positive experience and all of my appointments have been on time with Dr. John. I am now in my 5th week of recovery and should be walking within 3 weeks and I am healing right on track. I might add I took another flight after the surgery, all the way to Australia, and once again, Dr. John and his staff were incredibly accomodating, making sure I had extra wrapping around the foot, plenty of anti-inflammatories, ice packs, and antibiotics on hand just in case. Very accomodating! Overall, I have had minimal pain and good recovery time. I implicity trust Dr. John. If you have to experience the pain of the broken foot...I couldn't recommend a better Doctor , then Dr. Shine John, to get you back on your feet in no time. Pros: null Cons: null more

Our whole family likes Dr. H. However, after the third visit or so, I tried to bring up the fact that this was the only practice I had to wait so long. He got defensive and wanted to recommend us to one of his associates. I don't think so. No thank you. Pros: Wonderful bedside manner when finally seen Cons: 1-2 hour wait more

All aspects of the surgery and follow up were professional Really appreciated that the Dr was always on time for my appointments. In half a dozen or so appointments, we were never kept waiting past our appointment time. Pros: Very Professional Cons: none more

I am a licensed professional (nurse) in the Georgetown area. I have used Dr. Hurst and his offices, in Georgetown and Cedar Park several times over the past year. I have had surgery twice and have had GREAT experiences each time. The staff is above and beyond, with anything I need. Post op care was terrific and I was even given the Doctor's cell number, over a holiday weekend if I needed anything. He called the evening I was released to make sure everything was okay. I understand the need to reschedule appointment times, due to emergencies that can arise, and this has happened to me. I didn't mind rescheduling, nor do I mind waiting for an appointment. Dr. Hursts' office staff ALWAYS works in any patient that needs to be evaluated and has worked me into a full schedule on several occasions. There is something to be said about an office who will work in all patients, regardless of insurance, but based on patient need. I will continue all foot care with him and his offices, and recommend him to anyone I meet who may need foot care. If I could rate higher than a 5 star, I would. Pros: Love it all! After having a very disappointing experience with another podiatrists office, I took my daughter to see Dr. Pietzsch. Dr. Pietzsch was WONDERFUL!!! Her staff was very friendly and made my daughter feel very comfortable in a very unconfortable situation. After being examined, Dr. Pietzsch recommended that my daughter have surgery to fix her heel deformity and flat foot condition. The surgery went well and the doctor even gave me her cell phone number if there were any complications after I got my daughter home. I have a friend whose child had the same procedure with her son at another podiatrists office, and she wishes she would have known Dr. Pietzsch. My daughter's recovery has gone wonderfully and I am so glad I decided to have my daughter's surgery with Foot Specialists of Georgetown. more

Have had scheduled appointments with this office a dozen times over the past two years. In every case, it has taken 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours after the scheduled appointment time to be seen. Appointments have been cancelled by the doctor's office twice. While occasional delays are understandable, the pattern of poor patient scheduling is unprofessional. Have since gone to another podiatrist. more

After having a very painful foot condition for some time now, I went to see Dr. Peach. I was seen to right away and had my x-rays of my foot taken just moments after arriving. The young woman who took my x-rays was very pleasant. Just 5 minutes later, Dr. Peach came in and she was a fresh breath of air. She was very sweet and did a thorough exam on my foot and explained exactly what was going on with my foot. It seems as if she was literally walking in my shoes and explained my symptoms down to a "T". She showed me the problem on my foot (Mortons Neuroma) on a visual on the wall. She gave me an injection and was very patient when I told her that sometimes I feel faint when receiving shots. She tilted the chair back for me so I wouldnt feel light headed and answered all my questions on the further treatment I should receive if these injections dont solve the problem. She said surgery is a last resort and likes to take action necessary before doing an operation. She is the nicest doctor I have been to in a long time, and I am so relieved to know that my feet are under her care. I work as a hairdresser so she taped my foot with a pad under it to relieve any pain for the next few days. This experience was definately worth the 25 minute drive and I won't hesitate at all to drive there again for my next injection in 2 weeks. I'm glad I'm on my road to recovery and I'm certain she can help anyone who has any pain that takes away from enjoying life. Thank you Dr. Peach!
