DO NOT FALL PREY TO THESE VULTURES! At first, I was pleased with the examination of my new puppy and the prices of the service I received 4 weeks ago. On the first visit, the vet ...

I will never forget the kindness shown to me 4/15/2011

I continue to take my dog to FM 529 Animal Hospital for everything from teeth cleaning to regular check-ups. I and my dog love going there and I will never forget the kindness shown to me and level of competence and care given there. more

very professional, my pet and i feel very welcome 4/12/2011

Dr. Ansari and his staff are very professional, my pet and I feel very welcome everytime we visit, we always get the best care possible.? Is nice to see people who really care about your pet and always go the extra mile to help you.? Their clinic provides everything I need for my dog from Vaccs. to a place where I can board him when I am away from home, they even send me a letter to let me know how he is doing. I call that TOP SERVICE.? I think every pet owner should visit this hospital to ge the best for their four legged member of the Family. more

Horrible Experience 3/26/2011

My experience with this ""vet"" was horrible. I only took my dog here because his normal vet was off for the day and he was doing extremely bad and I didn?t want to wait. So with that being said...We arrived 15 minutes early to our appointment and were made to wait 45 minutes to see the vet even though there was no one else there. Then when we finally got to go back to the exam room everything got worse. To start off there were no chairs to sit in, you where made to stand in the exam room. Then when my poor sick dog wouldn't come out of his cage, instead of waiting on my mother to finish unscrewing the screws to take of the lid he reached in and yanked my dog out causing him to start gagging. Then even though my dog sat right down and wasn't moving around the table he tied him to the table with an old rope. He asked what was wrong with my dog and I explained that a few days before his normal vet had diagnosed him with pancreatitis and sent me home with medicine but he wasn't doing any better. So he said he needed to run tests to see if my vet was even right about what he had. When I asked if there was a way he didn?t have to run the tests he asked for the paperwork from the clinic. I said I did not have it with me because I normally don't see other vets but I did have the medication she had prescribed him and if he needed to he could call the clinic and get them to fax him the paperwork. His response was that the medication didn?t mean anything to him and he wasn?t going to call the clinic because that was my job not his. Then he proceeded to say it was no big deal to run the tests because it was simple; I then explained I understood the tests wouldn?t hurt him because I was studying vet medicine I just didn?t want to stress my dog out when he was already feeling so bad. He then asked where I was studying and when I told him he said he didn?t know that school and it didn?t matter he still needed to run the tests. My mother said that was fine but she would like to know what he would do for my dog when he confirmed that my vet?s diagnoses was correct. He said he couldn?t tell us because we didn?t know if that was what it was. I then asked what he would do for an animal that he knew had pancreatitis and he told us the same thing, that he couldn?t tell us until he knew that is what it was. When I interrupted him to say I understood that I just wanted to know what he would do he yelled at me that we both could not talk at the same time and if we would not do the test we could just leave. At this point I was tired of dealing with this man and said fine we will leave but I want my money back because you haven?t even examined him yet. He refused to give me my money back, so my mom said if he would just tell us what he could do for my dog after he diagnosed him we would do the tests. Once again he refused to tell us, so I turned to my mom and said lets take him to the emergency clinic I am done arguing with this a**hole (true I should have held my tounge instead of calling him a name but it just came out). He then told me he was calling the police on me, I turned to him with a confused look on my face as my mom told him that wasn?t necessary because we where leaving. He then realized we where truly leaving and tried to guilt trip us into staying by saying my dog really needed help, and I said I know that is why we are going to the emergency clinic where they will help him. As we where leaving his assistant apologized and said that this happens all the time. I will never take another pet there and I refuse to allow someone else to take their dog up their not knowing what they are getting themselves into. Luckily the emergency clinic up the road took care of my dog telling me what they would do for him before knowing what he had and without running the tests (they simply looked at his meds and confirmed that he had pancreatitis). more

Thanks for the shoulder to cry on 3/24/2011

This hospital, its staff, and the Doctor saved my rescued dog from very late stage heart worm when there were no others who would take the risk. The most important point that I want to make here is that EVERY DETAIL of every step of every procedure was very fully explained to me. Each member of the staff was so friendly, professional and knowledgeable that I was educated into comfort. The Doctor took over 1 hour with me, showed me pictures and articles, and even offered a video to help explain the treatment program for heart worm and what my choices were. I viewed the x-ray in the surgery with the doctor and he showed me how everything would work. He, and every member of his staff were and continue to be fantastic. My dog has survived and prospered - when I got her she could barely walk and had stopped eating and just wanted to be left alone to die - no chance - with the help of this hospital and the support that the staff gave to me, we were able to pull through and I now have a playful and energetic dog. I probably called the clinic no less than 5 times a day for weeks on end asking every sort of question and each member of staff was always there for me, not just with info about medication and feeding etc but with empathy, commiseration, advice and a shoulder to cry on. more

Excellent vet 3/21/2011

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT VET and so is his staff. I am Sending them all a very generous X-Mas gift because they have given me my best friend back. more

They found out what was really wrong and gave me my bff back 3/17/2011

I went to Dr. Ansaris Hospital with my dog who is been suffering from seizure for about 2.5 yrs. I have been to about 3 different Vet. clinics hoping someone could help me get to the root of the problem, but all they would do is treat this condition with Phenobarbital. without any further tests. When I got to this Hosp. the staff imformed me what had to get done to my dog to rule out different possibilities, before giving him meds. Dr. Ansari explained to me why this Tests were important because I got a bit irritated with the staff thinking all they wanted was my $. I had all tests done for him and found out he was Heartworm Pos. and got treated for it. After a month my dog was born again he started to gain weight, started playing, and the level of activity improved overall. I got a post treatment test and BRUNO is Heartworm Neg. The seizures have gone from 2 per day to 1 per week, and Dr. Ansari is gradually decreasing the Meds and we are rapidly aproaching a life without seizures. more

Customer for life 3/3/2011

Dr. Ansari is very precise in his work, very professional and does not beat around the bush. He is a very educated man and will do, in his power, anything that has to be done. He is probably one of the only vets I know that will not reject you or turn you down. The clinic is very clean, the staff is very professional, and Dr. Ansari is amazing. When it comes to my pet, I dont think twice about bringing him to this hospital :) more

You have SO MANY BETTER OPTIONS!! 11/7/2010

Not too far away are wonderful vets that care and do not have money signs in their eyes when they see a dog with a broken leg. They have ridiculous prices, customer services and policies. I made sure I took my mother-in-laws dogs records, that I had to fight them not to pay for, so they'll never have to set paw in there again. Just talking to this guy he doesn't care about your pet or how concerned you are. The more you show, the more he tacks on to what you should do for your pets health. TOTAL GUILT TRIP, don't fall for it. more

Think Logical 9/18/2010

Ok,, as to all the reviews I say do not judge until you take your pet and personally have experienced it. Many of the things written here do not have proof to back up or do not make sense. About the staff not giving our pets treats or bedding/toys/ect., I was told if that happens its because when pets are boarding, they are stressed and the treats make cause upset stomach and they might chew or eat on the bedding or whatever goes in the kennels with them and there are no risks that will be taken with my pet. Dr. Ansari is very precise in his work, very professional and does not beat around the bush. Sure he might be very blunt and upfront but I prefer that over being quiet and not saying anything.

Please take your pet elsewhere 9/15/2010

People listen to me please..... If you care for your pet.an we all do..I worked for this Vet..I use that term Vet because he did get a degree....I have worked with k-9`s,felines. all my life....I`m a former kennel owner,25 plus yrs exp..I`ve been around the block a time or two...This PERSON...mr Ansari...I will never refer to him as a D.V.M..... because he is just a man who went to school to get a degree...I`m also not a sore x -employee...I quit 9/13/10 because he will not pay overtime.I worked on Labor Day.for strait pay...no time1/2.and I will take that to the labor board...outta my hands @ THIS TIME LET SOME ONE ELSE DeaL WITH HIM..... I had seen an heard all I can take..I have seen things there that ANY Dr. will never do....I was told he had a high turnover rate.before I was hired..I never ,ever go to work for a person with out looking into them...I let my gaurd down this time.. never again.....He will put pets down for $$$.instead of trying to refer owners to a rescue group...these pets were in great shape...when I asked about a pet that was about to be "" put down"".he calls it ""dead dog."".....I said"" I will take this dog home.""...He said ""If you ever tell a ""client"" that I will fire you on the spot."".all bout $$$$$$...I have worked for rescue shelters many times with no pay...love for k9`s.....as I have said before I owned my own kennel for many yrs.....If you are thinking about boarding your pet there...Fair warning....the sign say`s the kennels are climate controlled...an they are.... if the temp. outside goes over 87 degrees. the a/c turns on...also if your pet has bedding, toys, diet needs .the staff is not allowed to give item`s to pets....but...they have to tell ""client`s"" that they will....there is a I.C.U . area where items are stored....If your pet has treats...they are NEVER givin`....they will take some out before the pet goes home......that way ""client`s"" THINK.. pets have had them???????....and those treats are givin` to 2 ""clinic dog`s...there are 2 dog`s there that have been there over 4 yrs.life for them is not a dog`s life...Rosco is a sweet k9..he is in a 5/6 ft. run 23 hrs. a day..I asked if he is open for adoption......I know many people who would love to have him.....I was told ""no""...I said....""that is sad...""is this his life?""?????...I was told..??""....He is better off here""....not!!!! He is part Chow...alot of hair right...I also groom dogs...I gave him a summer cut to try to help with the heat because it get`s really HOT in the kennel....MR Ansari aka DR???? treats women like trash....I`m male.... he thinks women are below him........I have seen women cry from his lectures......I have NEVER met person like him.....an hope I never do again....heed my advice....I gave him 1 star...because there is not any other option....drive as many miles as it takes to take your beloved pet to a better place...please....belive me...been there ........ more

WORST VET EVER!! 2/2/2010

They are TERRBLE! They diagnosed my dog completly wrong! They also WON""T give me my records to take to regular vet. I am reporting them and an investigation is in process!!! more

My My dog LOVES to go to the VET!!!!! 1/13/2010

I can not believe all of the negative reviews here, most of them being nothing but second-hand stories, they must be talking about a different vet. I only know my own personal experience which was nothing short of miraculous. The hospital is very clean, and a pleasant environment with well spaced out benches for waiting and plenty of help available for nervous dogs and cats in the form of hugs and treats. I was always treated in a professional manner and my dog felt that she was the favorite dog of the clinic being greeted with love and warmth and obvious enjoyment of seeing her ""friends."" I have not used the kennel facilities so can not comment on that. The prices were not cheap, but they were in the same ball-park as all the other vets I contacted and went to. If you want cheap, go to Houston SPCA - I went there and it was so crowded you had to wait outside - the time they quoted to me was 2.5 - 3 hours wait - this was summertime. Standing in the sun for 3 hours is just not an option for me. I continue to take my dog to FM 529 Animal Hospital for everything from teeth cleaning to regular check-ups. I and my dog love going there and I will never forget the kindness shown to me and level of competence and care given while going through this hard experience. Highest recommendation possible... Pros: Caring staff, full explanations of treatments more

HE IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!!!! 11/5/2009

$$$ Pros: Very experienced goes right to the point. Cons: Somewhat anti-social more

Beware 5/2/2009

My dog ran onto FM 529 and was immediately injured by a car. A kind person took my dog to Dr Ansari and his adolescent staff. Treatment of an injured dog was refused because the bystander did not have $80 for the exam. Clinic did not take any contact information down in case owner was looking. How can you enter into a field to help animals and turn down an injured one? Cons: Everything more

You got me once, but never again. 3/18/2009

This vet showed not compassion what so ever for me or my pet. He made me feel like my options were to 1. Pay the outrages prices he wanted to charge or 2. Get the hell out of his clinic. The staff there have terrible communication skills. Well, after about $500 and my puppy dieing I will never in my life go back to that vet and will never refer anyone to him. He is just there to take your money and by the fancy new LED signs he has now, I'd say he doing a pretty good job of taking people's money. Pros: It was close to my home. Cons: The whole experience from start to finish. more
