Outstanding beer selection and excellent food.

Most of the waitresses here are trashy and have attitudes, which I don't mind. What I do mind is waiting an eternity to be served when business is slow. I have been going to thi...

Great Beer, Bad Food 1/28/2006

The Flying Saucer Emporium in downtown Raleigh has more beer available than any other restaurant I have visited. The food here leaves nothing to be desired, so eat before you come. Thursday, Friday and Saturday night are always packed to the hilt, so come early, or it is standing room only. A great hangout for killing time with friends. more

Wonderful Beer selection 1/24/2006

Flying saucer has over 200 beers, and a back room that you can rent out for private parties. I dont know how big your party is going to be, but usually the way the room works out iss you just have to spend a certain amount. So, lets say they said $200, as long as your collective bar tab is $200 then the room is free, if its under $200 you would have to make up the difference. They are mostly beer though, not much wine or liquor. more
