I was so incredibly happy with the service and selection of dresses Ferri Formals had to offer. I worked with Celeste and she understood what I was looking for, but also suggested dresses she thought would look good on my frame. I ended up selecting Celeste's pick, a gorgeous Enzoani Dabra ball gown. Between the dress, veil, accessories and alterations, everyone at Ferri Formals made me feel special and helped me find the perfect look for my wedding day! I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Ferri Formals and Bridals. I am from upstate New York and had looked all over including Vermont for my wedding dress. I was so disappointed that I couldn't find anything that gave me ""that feeling"", and felt that I was going to have to settle. I had seen dresses that I had liked in pictures but no where had anything comparable to the shape or contained elements I was looking for like Ferri's dresses did. more

Greatest bridal boutique in town! Very helpful, honest and great prices. They took care of me and my wedding party like they have always known us. I would definitely recommend this place to EVERYONE. They made me feel like family every time i came in or talked to them on the phone. My experience shopping for my wedding dress at Ferri Formal?s was wonderful! The ladies are terrific ? very accommodating and pleasant. Penny altered my dress and made it look as though it was created especially for me Since purchasing my dress I have referred all my friends to make Ferri?s their first stop when shopping for a dress. We?d done almost all the Capital District prom dress shops, plus the internet and even been to London and Paris,somehow overlooking the local specialist shop. By the time we got to Ferri Formal, we gave a stern ??we?re just looking? they let us look, un-hassled. I quickly realized this was the best selection we?d seen in our price bracket ($200-$800). I was impressed by the quality workmanship and sumptuous materials, beating internet and other shop?s prices. They also had the best priced sale section I'd seen. I relaxed on the chaise longue allowing my picky prom princess to scrutinize. After leaving we agreed that this was the shop. more

Awful. A flower-girl dress for my wedding was purchased at this store. A beautiful $250 dress, which in my opinion is quite a pricey dress for a three year old...but it was so beautiful we went with it! We ordered this dress in January with an early April delivery date. Needless to say a week out from my wedding we have no dress...and no one from the store can provide a decent answer as to why there was such a delay. My bridesmaid who is the little girl's mother tried for nearly six weeks to get a straight answer as to when the dress would arrive....to no avail. When she indicated that she was nervous about the arrival and alterations because the dress was quite expensive the owner informed her that $250 was in fact not an expensive flower girl dress. 10 days before the wedding my friend was returned her deposit and we actually purchased a lovely dress for $25 and received excellent customer service...at Burlington Coat Factory! :) But my friend continues to get phone calls since the dress came in (1 week before the wedding) to see the ""lovely"" dress. I guess I would just advise people that the communication when a mistake is made is awful. Either you receive no phone call, have to keep following up yourself or get a different answer from different people in the store. I purchased some accessories at another bridal store in the area and when a mistake was made the owner immediately called me to let me know about the problem and to give me options. No such effort was ever made by Ferri Formals in this situation.I just do not think this is a stress any bride needs a week before their wedding, especially when the dress is purchased so far in advance. I had a wonderful wedding experience at Ferri Formals and Bridals. The staff couldn?t have been more helpful and accommodating. Marylu and Lena are extremely knowledgeable and professional. On my first trip to the shop I tried on several gowns ranging from bargain priced, all the way up to Vera Wang. They have gowns for every style and budget. There were so many gorgeous dresses but I still hadn?t found ?the one?. Then Marylu called to tell me that she had just gotten in a new gown that she thought I might like. I went in to try it on and knew right away that this was the dress I would be wearing on my wedding day. Marylu and her staff were very attentive and went out of their way to help me find the perfect wedding dress and accessories. I ordered the dresses for my bridesmaids there as well. Three of my bridesmaids live out of town and the staff was very flexible when it came to scheduling dress fittings and pick-ups. One of my bridesmaids was planning a wedding around the same time as I was. She was so impressed with the service that my bridal party received that she chose to purchase her bridesmaids dresses at Ferri?s as well, even though she lives in North Carolina. My mother is a plus-size woman who is very uncomfortable wearing dresses. Marylu put my mother at ease and helped her select a stunning Mother of the Bride gown that she felt beautiful in. All of the gowns, mine especially, were absolutely perfect! I couldn?t have been happier with my experience and would recommend Ferri Formals and Bridals to any bride. Ferri Formals and Bridals had an amazing selection of dresses. I had been to few other bridal shops, but their selection of dresses didn't seem to compare to Ferri Formals. Unlike, other bridal shops, the dresses were more spread out so they were easy to look at. The staff was very helpful and once I found my dress, they worked with me to make my look just perfect. I would definitely recommend Ferri Formals and Bridals to any bride that is currently looking for a wedding dress. They also have great dresses for moms and bridesmaids. Ferri Formals has an outstanding selection of wedding dresses. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I had a great experience and found the perfect dress for my wedding day. My mother and mother-in-law, also found gorgeous gowns to wear for my wedding. more

Marilou, the owner, and Penny, my seamstress, were nothing less than fantastic, accommodating and caring. I found the dress of my dreams at Ferri Formals. It was elegant and in my price range. Marilou has many gowns both high end designers as well as more moderately priced gowns. She carries a range of sizes so all brides both petite and plus size are able to try on dream gowns. I found in working with Marilou that is was no problem to order a dress in an extended size and no problem to have it in time for the wedding. The fittings were amazing. Penny listened to my vision of altering the dress to create sleeves that draped to the back of the dress similar to an attached cape. This was exactly what I had invisioned and she did it all over night! The custom designs I made on the dress were extra in cost, but not overpriced in my opinions. Everyone at my wedding wanted to know where I got my gown. Penny and Marilou made my gown and my wedding day come to life. The whole experience was just perfect. more

Don't listen to the negative review! Ferri Formals gave me the most personal and detailed attention when buying my wedding gown. They have an extensive and beautiful selection of wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses. Their staff was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable and made my dress fittings comfortable and fun! To top it off, they pretty much had to rebuild the dress I bought since it was too small and the work they did made the dress that much more beautiful and unique. They really gave me extraordinarily personal attention and I would recommend them to anyone buying a wedding gown or bridesmaid dress. Like many other brides I've spoke with, I had a terrible experience at Ferri Formals. The staff (especially the owner) is extremely rude, pretentious, unorganized, and downright nasty. Sales slips are often lost, alterations are outrageously expensive and poor quality, attention from the staff is rushed and impersonal. Pros: Lots of dresses Cons: Rude staff, owner is unfair and downright criminal. more
