Terrific beer in a simple, solidly built setting. Two locals warned me ""great beer, bad food,"" so I didn't eat. Be very careful driving back on the lovely but twisting, treacher...

Great beer, lousy service 12/3/2006

My husband heard this place makes some pretty good beer. The beer WAS really good but the service was terrible. I forgot my ID and was rudely told by the employee, ""No ID, No Beer"" as he abruptly walked off. There's a way to talk to customers and was is not it. Why didn't he just say, ""I'm sorry but I can't serve you if you don't have it, would you like something else instead?"" Pros: Beer Cons: Slow service more

Great brewpub 5/19/2006

Terrific beer in a simple, solidly built setting. Two locals warned me ""great beer, bad food,"" so I didn't eat. Be very careful driving back on the lovely but twisting, treacherous road to Portland after trying all these beers. Better to hit the place early, then spend the day shopping in downtown Estacada until your buzz wears off. Pros: beer, service, value Cons: out of the way more
