Fatima's Tux Rentals & Sales

Often times nasty people don't realize or refuse to admit that they are the nasty ones themselves. I don't know what these people's problems are, but I've been using Fatima's service since 1998 and I'm a perfectly happy customer. I wouldn't go anywhere else unless she decides to close up shop. She's an expert at what she does, and she charges a reasonable price. People seem to forget that good skills are worth something and that you have to pay for what you want. I'm outraged by all the negative comments here - they have absolutely no basis. Fatima deserves justice and respect. more

The woman who runs this business is the nastiest person that I have ever met in my entire life. I went to her store to get a bridesmaid dress altered. She was very rude to me in front of two customers because she claimed I had my dress on wrong. The next day, I went back to the store because to pick up my dress because the bride made some last minute changes. The woman started screaming at me and called the bride “evil” and “crazy” and called me a “liar”. She also told me that she put a curse on the bride. I had to fight with her to get my money back, even though she did not do any work to the dress. Don’t ever go to this company. The woman who works there is psychotic. more

This is the most unbelievable case of poor, insane customer service! My parents went to Ms. Fatima's store to rent a tuxedo for my father for the upcoming reception for our wedding. After receiving reasonable service, my mother also took my husband's parents for alteration of their clothing. Ms. Fatima did not give an estimate for the order before putting pins into the clothing but did so only after pinning the clothes. At that point, my husband advised his parents not to submit the order as we wanted to discuss the price, which we believe was too high. In the evening, we discussed our options and decided to go with another tailor. When we went to Ms. Fatima's store and asked for the clothing so we can place an order somewhere else, Ms. Fatima started to argue with me and my husband, raised her voice significantly, started pointing her fingers at us, and insulting us. As I tried to explain myself in a calm manner, Ms. Fatima would not let me speak and told me "you should just keep your mouth shut!". I didn't want to take such treatment and I went back to the car. Hoping to be given the clothes back (which was our only request), my husband remained behind. Ms. Fatima continued to yell at him, used ethnically-based insults against him, and in the end called the police saying she felt unsafe with my husband in the store! Mind you, my husband is a polite, gentle man who wouldn't even hurt a mosquito. The police came, spoke to all of us, and found the matter to be unfounded and preposterous. They advised we don't do any more business in Ms. Fatima's store. Needless to say, we will never go to this business again, my parents will cancel their order, and we will happily let everyone we know of this unbelievably unpleasant experience. I would caution any customers who consider doing business with Ms. Fatima to be prepared to deal with police if they choose to retrieve their business or express an opinion. more

I cannot write a review about their work because I could not ghet any work done here. I went here one afternoon and there was a customer getting some measurements done. The main person was with the customer and there were to other people who asked me to wait. I waited patiently for 15 minutes, did not see them get done, so asked the other 2 person if they could make my invoice, but they wanted me to wait for the main person. I almost waited for 45 minutes and this lady just did not come to take my invoice. So I walked away from there and will never go back there again. more

Sadly, I can't really write a review of the actual work they do here because the service was so lousy that I didn't even *get* service. I went into Fatima's one morning needing to get a hook on the back of my swimsuit replaced. It's a small space, and there were two women working behind the counter - one sewing, one talking to the one sewing. They saw me come in. They continued to talk. I waited. Finally, the non-sewer came over and asked if she could help me. I explained that I needed the hook replaced on the back of the swimsuit, and she said, "We don't have those hooks." End of review. more
