we had a high effiecient furnace installed a couple years ago and was impressed from sales to install. we have it service every year and love that we have not had a problem with the lennox furnace or the fancher company. very friendly knowledgeable people to work with. even had a water heater replaced at the same time. more

Rip Off 3/19/2011

Our furnace was cycling on and off and not heating the house. We called Fancher and they came to the house but did not even take the panel off of the furnace to look at it and said it was the furnace filters were too thick! We have been using the same filters for 3 years, with no problem! Needless to say the furnace still did not work correctly. We called them again the next day, on Saturday, and the owner said he would send someone out that had more "experience" The guy came and took the panel off of the furnace and cleaned a part and put it back together and the furnace worked fine. He was there 10 - 15 minutes. We then got a bill in the mail for $259.20! I stopped by the store and asked why the bill was so high and the owner said it is because we had Saturday service, it was more than double the normal price. I said it should have been fixed on Friday, the only reason someone had to come back on Saturday is because it was not fixed properly on Friday, you said you sent someone with not much experience on Friday. He had a grin on his face the whole time I was talking to him and then said, oh well that is what the bill is, and started laughing at me! I walked out of there fuming. They are the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. I am not paying the $260.00, I am paying them $100.00. Take it or leave it for 10 to 15 minuted work! more

Unhappy experience .... 3/25/2009

I had a furnace service last year. Fancher replaced one part for me, the technician told me it is a very cheap part. But after a couple of weeks, they over charged almost tripled the retail price of that part. They refused to give any explanation, even without any reasonable statement. They were not treating customers politely. more

They were not treating customers politely. I cannot believe this is a company which has been around for a quite while in the Vestal area. I don't know how was the reputation of the Fancher in the past. If you have Fancher to do service for you, I wish you will not end up with frustration (or angry). more

Customer Service issues 11/15/2006

Fancher Appliance put a furnace into my home. They were attentive during the estimate while they were trying to get my business, but a little less attentive once the work was done and I called to get issues resolved. I had issues with the installation, which left my home in a mess, that I am still dealing with more than one year later. They used (and broke) some items of mine without asking, and did not tell me they were using them. They clogged my cellar drain (which hasn't been right since). The furnace works fine. However, their customer service/respect for the customer's property was not what I would have expected from a company that has been in this area for 58 years. more

Ok for small repairs 11/27/2005

High Priced in all areas but putting that aside the instore service was excellent. The repairmen were a little slow in getting to my home and doing the work and their work wasn't as satisfactory as I expected for the prices the company charged. I ended up going out buying a new refridgerator after calling their repair service numerous times to tell them that the work they did on my fridge repairs was non functioning at times. Save yourself some headaches when dealing with this company. Don't deal with them. Go out and buy a new appliance instead. It will save you the hassle of having their repair men frequenting your home and charging you high service bills. more
