Horrible and Unprofessional Service 11/11/2008

I came in a couple weeks ago for an eye exam, frames, and contact lenses. I was seen promptly and the associates were very helpful. HOWEVER, the manager is very rude and unprofessional. She charged me a rate that she did not tell me prior to the exam. After I told her this, she goes on a power rage about how ""I am the Manager and I can do what I please"". Her words exactly. I would have left then and there but I had no choice but to pay and stay because of my insurance grouping all these services together. She proceeded to speak in an angry tone and was very rude throughout the process. \r \r Fast forward to two weeks later. I never received a call from them about when my contacts order were ready so I go in to check. They tell me that it would take a couple days from when I first ordered them and paid. I go in and they have not yet gotten them. \r \r Don't bother going here. Very rude and unprofessional service. There are other, better places in Manhattan Pros: Associates are nice and helpful. Cons: Manager is rude and unprofessional. Horrible service in getting your order in a timely fashion. more

2 months for lenses to arrive 9/24/2008

I ordered contact lenses in July- it's not mid September and I'm still waiting! \r When I initially had my eye exam, I was told the lenses will come in about 1 week. \r For the next month I kept popping in and calling to see if they've got them. Every time I was told ""Next Tuesday"".... and 2 months passed and the lenses aren't here yet!\r It's also a bit hard to get a refund from them, so if you are going to order lenses I suggest you don't pay for them in advance.\r It's such a shame because the location was so convenient, the staff were very nice... just no lenses!! more

GREAT VISION CARE provided by EYE TO EYE 8/8/2008

Eye to Eye has great service, knowledgeable and friendly eye doctors, and good prices.I was a walk-in during lunch hours with a coupon that included an exam and two boxes of contacts for a great price. I was seen promptly, given an exam and new contacts were ordered. more

never again! 7/26/2008

7 weeks for lens processing and still no sign of lenses. I have gotten the same lenses within a maximum of three weeks so the complexity reasoning doesn't make sense. Every time I call the person answering doesn't know the status or has to check with some one, but no one ever calls back. The sad part is I have made the payments for the eye exam and lenses. The doctor is fine but the service afterwards is just plain bad. more

CHARGE FIRST but SLOW WORK 7/26/2008

I have really bad experiences there. It took 3 weeks to get my sample contact lenses and I'm waiting to get my ordered contact lenses for more than 3 weeks, Whenever I call, nobody wants to have responsibility for my order. Whenever I go there, I have to wait for long time.\r Maybe,, because they already have charged me$$$($150 for a short eye exam and $43 per box which I can get a half price from web store------), so no need to make effort to get me the order.....\r That's very sad....\r I will never go there again after I get my ordered contact lenses. I'm not sure when I can get them though,,,,\r If your time is precious, I do not recommend you to be there. more

great service 4/19/2008

It had been several years since my last eye exam and my old contacts were giving me trouble. I was a walk-in during lunch hours with a coupon that included an exam and two boxes of contacts for a great price. I was seen promptly, given an exam and new contacts were ordered. The new contacts didn't solve the redness in my eye, so I was seen several more times, all as a walk-in, until the problem was solved. Eye to Eye has great service, knowledgeable and friendly eye doctors, and good prices. I highly recommend them if you are looking for an eye doctor in lower Manhattan. Pros: walk-in hours, friendly, extra effort to make sure customer gets the right eye care more

Saved My Eyes from Serious Damage! 3/13/2008

Not only did I get an appointment hours after I called, but a few minutes into my exam (for which I was immediately taken when I arrived), the doctor advised me to go immediately to the Eye & Ear Hospital ER since my eyes had been badly damaged (it was after regular working hours for most opthamologists) and were causing me substantial pain. I was told at the hospital that my optometrist had told me to do the right thing since if I had waited any longer I could have potentially permanently damaged my eyes. The following morning, Eye to Eye told me I could come in as soon as I could to see Dr. Cohen and that he would examine me and get me a pair of glasses that very day since I had lost mine and was not allowed to wear contact lenses due to my malady. He was extremely friendly, clearly answered any questions or concerns I had, and made me feel sure I could place my confidence in him. The turn-around time for the glasses was about four hours! Unreal. Prices were also fair and that $100 Citysearch coupon? Totally legit and no strings attached. Will definitely be making this my new optometrist. Pros: Got glasses the same day, saved my eyes, friendly Cons: A rude customer literally screaming over the price of contacts more

GREAT VISION CARE provided by EYE TO EYE - excellent eye care, great frames!! 5/2/2007

Nearing 40 I thought I was TOO YOUNG for presbyopia - WRONG - after visiting this FAMILY OWNED and operated practice (with more than 3 locations) I left with my FIRST PAIR of customized spectacles that not only looked great but made me step up to 100% perfect vision - no more make shift glasses!\r I felt very comfortable with the doctor downtown yet have since visited ALL of their locations at one time or another - consistent excellent service and care.\r I have been a client for over 5 years sending ALL my friends there! Pros: many locations around Manhattan, professional care at each location, great choices for vision needs Cons: my favorite Doc Ed Ruvio is mostly at their downtown location - but worth the trip! more
