Expertise Styling Salon

My cut was rushed and very uneven. When I called the owner she was uninterested in how we could amicalbly take care of the problem and rushed my call. Told me I could have another salon fix it. I was given my money back without an apology and no interest in seeing the job done. Never to return. more

There are far better places then this salon...after i read reviews i thought i would go try it but it was not worth the trip. My haircut didn't turn out the way i wanted it and i was not happy with the service. Afterwards i went to a different salon to have my hair fixed the way i wanted it. I am a male in my mid 40s. I started going pretty gray while I was in my mid 30s and wasn't too happy about it. Sheena had been cutting my hair since shortly after Expertise Styling Salon opened up. After talking to Sheena about it, she recommended that we try a new type of color on my hair, called a rinse. It isn't a full color, but more of something to help blend the gray with the rest of my hair, with a natural look. We tried it the first time and I have been going back to get it done regularly for the past two years or more!\r \r Sheena does a great job and the salon atmosphere is always good. A few months ago I walked into Expertise without the intention of getting a haircut. I was there on other business but after talking to the owner, Sheena, I felt comfortable to ask her about trendy hairstyles, in particular the new a line bob haircut that seems to be popular these days. I had been growing my hair out for two years and frankly was ready for something new. Sheena was able to use the Internet to find photos of what I liked. We found a beautiful photo of Nicole Richie when she first cut her hair into a bob. Before I knew it, I was in the hot seat and getting four inches cut off -The result was a fabulous looking bob haircut which suited me perfectly. Sheena was never pushy and suggested I come back if I wasn't ready. It was her confidence and knowledge which made me trust her. She listened to what I wanted and delivered the best haircut for me. She even called a few days later to make sure I was comfortable with styling my new do. I can't say enough good about her or the salon! She's truly a class act! \r Well considering the only review is from the owner, I wouldnt recommend it...There was a great stylist there but shes gone so totally not worth it anymore...i go to her new place...Serenity its also located in westerly...Great place to go...At least the owner there is nice and friendly... more

I will say that this is one of the best up and coming salons in Rhode Island! The service is excellent and the staff is wonderful. They make you feel like a million bucks, not only with the service provided, but they make you feel like you have been friends for years and can pick up right where you left off. I love this place! Pros: Upbeat atmosphere, wonderful staff and service Cons: not much to complain about more
