You can get a room at Excalibur for $50 a night, and its shaped like a castle: whats not for families to love? Well, youll get what you...

Worst

Yes this place is based off of The Sword and the Stone but isn't as classy as Disney would have done it if it was their hotel. It's a great value in a great spot on the Strip tho...

Only place i ever stay 10/4/2010

Love the Castle!! Staff are very nice..rooms clean..housekeeping did a great job..only place I ever stay while in Vegas!!! more

Everyone I encountered in the hotel was friendly and helpful 10/4/2010

Excalibur is one of the best values on the strip. If you are looking for a clean place to lay your head this is it!!! The casino is a little old but the rooms are clean, comfortable and have a nice amount of space. They have a buffet for $25 all day, nothing fancy but the food is good and has many choices. Everyone I encountered in the hotel was friendly and helpful. They have security posted by the elevators at night & security does floor checks several times a night. They also have a food court & several stores upstairs. I go to Vegas at least once a year and Excalibur is a great value for your money!!! more

Wish we had time to stay longer 9/28/2010

We only stayed for 3 days, I wish we had the time to stay longer, but I will definitely come back to Vegas, its a crazy but fun town! more

The pool was great 9/28/2010

The pool area was great, 4 or 5 different pools. more

wouldnt hesitate to stay again 9/27/2010

Well "old" by Vegas standards. We stayed at the Excalibur for 2 nights at the end of 6 weeks in the US in Sept 2010. A room rate of $28 a night was enough to attract us, and a complimentary upgrade to their Widescreen TV rooms was appreciated. The rooms are spacious and have been refurbished in the last couple of years. Perfectly adequate! The hotel itself is a bit dated, but it really does pack a lot into the premises. A plethora of food choices including fast food (Quiznos, Maccas etc etc etc) , an adequate buffet (no more no less...but at $24.95 a day for all you can eat it is great value), a couple of upper end restaurants, bars, sports lounges, good pool area (even for kids), and a top location on the corner of Tropicana and the Strip and the Excalibur exceeded expectations. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, especially if you can get a ripping price. more

One of the best Casinos 9/27/2010

We didn't stay at the Excalibur but I have to say it was one of the best casinos when it came to offering drinks while playing the machines. We stayed at the Golden Nugget and not once was I offered a drink while gambling there. more

a very good deal 9/24/2010

I wanted to write a review of the comedy show "Defending the Caveman"" but TripAdvisor didn't recognize it so since it's showing at the Excalibur I thought I'd get to it via this route. Three words--GO SEE IT-this is a funny show, my son who is 24 absolutely loved it. We saw the matinee and bought discounted tickets so it was a very good deal and a great break between gambling and sightseeing. more

OMG it was sooo comfy 9/23/2010

I was a bit worried due to some not too good reviews I read, but we stayed in tower 1, which hadn't been refurbished, and I had absolutely no problems with the decor, bed, etc. We had a bit of an issue with the internet, but within 10 mins of us making a call maintenance had come and fixed it. But speaking of the bed, OMG it was sooo comfy. Good room size, good service. The only thing I didn't like, which I'd probably get anywhere in vegas is that my 15 yr old son wasn't free to walk from our room to the food hall or children's games room due to having to go through the casino. more

This place was perfect for us! 9/23/2010

My partner and I stayed in the Excalibur hotel for a week and thought it was lovely. It was her 21st birthday and we decided to spend more money on doing things whilst in Vegas rather than a posh hotel. This place was perfect for us! It was relatively cheap and the rooms were very nice and clean. Its not the most spectacular hotel on the strip but its still pretty amazing to someone who had never been to Vegas before. The casino floor is great and all the staff are really friendly. The buffet was brilliant! I have never eaten so much food in my life but I couldn't stop myself returning for another plateful or two every day. We did eat at other places but for the money you pay its great. It is down the end of the strip and so prepare yourself for a lot of walking if you venture out. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good holiday in Vegas. If you want good value and a nice place to stay then this is the place for you! more

Great hotel 9/22/2010

Great hotel to stay in for the NFR; cheap yet close to rodeo with free shuttles. Nice end of strip, too. more

Nice, clean and spacious room 9/22/2010

Nice, clean and spacious room. Good with a security guard by the tower entering the elevator to the rooms so no unauthorized person got access to the rooms. Close to the airport, we took a shuttle and paid 6.50 usd, a taxi is about 15 usd to if you are a few travelling, a taxi will be easier. The pool area was great, 4 or 5 differend pools. We only stayed for 3 days, I wish we had the time to stay longer, but I will definitly come back to Vegas, its a crazy but fun town! more

$5 minimum drinks at some tables 9/21/2010

They have $5 minimums at some of the tables- and one of the only Casinos that still have a "War" table (that's right- like you use to play when you were a kid!!) more

Well worth it 9/21/2010

The hotel is right on the strip. The theme of the hotel is cute for children. Very inexpensive room. When you book the room, request a room with a view of the strip. The added cost is WELL worth it! more

blown away with hotel 9/20/2010

Normally stay on the other end of the strip, but booked Excalibur because of the rates and ended up being blown away with the hotel. I was upgraded to a wide screen room free and had a beautiful view of the pools. The casino was fun and treated us great, the room was comfy and we were just really impressed. The price could not be bet even with the resort fees of $10 a day, which was still a great deal because the room for 3 nights was about $150, with all the fees, and one of those nights was a Friday. I will definately be returning to Excalibur again, and highly recommend the hotel and casino's to all my friends!!!! more

Lovely rooms 9/20/2010

After a long drive from LA we arrived to be greeted by friendly valet parkers who heloed with the luggage. Check In was a breeze and we received a free uprade to a Deluxe room because we were staying for 4 nights. We had a great view of The Strip from the 15th floor, lovely large clean and airy room, with a spotless huge bathroom. Only draw back with the rooms was the fact that there were no tea/coffee making facilites but that is obviuosly to get you to spend in the onsite Starbucks and hotel coffee bars. Pool areas were great, one pool is over 18s only, one has a slide for the kids, 1 has a hot tub and the other is 'just' a pool. For kids the basement is a "Childrens Casino" and 3 4D rides including Spongebob. more

friendly 9/17/2010

We made last minute reservations for the hotel. It was during a very large bicycle convention, so msot hotels were pretty full. When we called the staff was very friendly and we got a good deal on the price. Once we got to the hotel check in was very fast and went smoothly. When we got to the room we had 2 full size beds rather than the 1 king we had requested, but it was not a big deal to us, so we didnt have them change it. One day we locked out key card in the room and they were very fast and friendly when we had to get another key. I liked that they had security at the elevators and you had to show a room key to go up. it made me feel safe. more

Amazing 9/17/2010

The excalibur was amazing, especially for the price. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a nice big pool and the casino was great fun. It was also quite central on the strip and we could walk around to all the other casinos and explore. I have nothing bad to say about the excalibur and would definitely reccommend staying here more

Not Impressed 2/6/2007

I was only in Excalibur for a few minutes to play craps back in 2003. All I know is the dealers at our table were pretty rude and weren't paying us correctly. We finally got our winnings after complaining and left. I thought the place would be neat with the medieval theme and all, but I don't know if I'd ever go back. more

Excalibur Made My Skin Crawl 9/23/2006

I always had a THING about cleanliness as a child. Did I have OCD or something back then? I don't know, but I sure do now and I think my crappy experiences at bad hotels my parents would book on trips may have heightened my...uh...thing. We stayed at the Excalibur during a family reunion about five years ago, after being on immune suppressive medication for a year. YUCK was it nasty! Well, to me all of Las Vegas is kinda nasty. The hotel's lobby is taaaaacky, crowded and smelled of cheap cigars. It was so bad that my lungs and eyes were burning from the smoke--and a hotel's lobby is supposed to be its show piece! As you can imagine, it did not get better when we went up to the room. The carpet was crusty and God knows what kinds of stains were hidden in its dark colouring. The beds were nasty--again, dark bedding. I was in utter agony the entire reunion. Gives me the heebies just thinking about it now. more
