Well "old" by Vegas standards. We stayed at the Excalibur for 2 nights at the end of 6 weeks in the US in Sept 2010. A room rate of $28 a night was enough to attract us, and a complimentary upgrade to their Widescreen TV rooms was appreciated. The rooms are spacious and have been refurbished in the last couple of years. Perfectly adequate! The hotel itself is a bit dated, but it really does pack a lot into the premises. A plethora of food choices including fast food (Quiznos, Maccas etc etc etc) , an adequate buffet (no more no less...but at $24.95 a day for all you can eat it is great value), a couple of upper end restaurants, bars, sports lounges, good pool area (even for kids), and a top location on the corner of Tropicana and the Strip and the Excalibur exceeded expectations. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, especially if you can get a ripping price.
