Best Swim Suit Ever 6/21/2010

After reading these reviews, I was hesitant to try this store. After my experience I'm thinking that sometimes people (customers and sales persons) occasionally have bad days, and that mostly dissatisfied customers tend to write reviews. This store has the very best selection of beautiful swimwear I've ever seen. It is slightly more expensive than a good department store, but the quality and selection are worth it. I was expecting to have a miserable experience trying on suits, but ended up having to decide between 4 beautiful items. They also had a large selection of cover-ups. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Nothing but nice! My new suit is the prettiest I've ever had. No lie! Try it. You'll like it. Pros: Huge selection of quality swim suits more

Never had any problems 12/14/2009

I have never had a problem with customer service that I can remember...even when it was called Just add water. I've gone maybe twice or three time over the last several years. My latest expedition was no different. It may have been even more pleasant due to the fact it wasn't swim season and I shared the store with only one other customer. I found the French lady to be nice enough. She greeted me when I walked in, but stayed put instead of coming out and attacking me with questions and information. She let me shop at my leisure, in other words, which I prefer. When asked though, she was willing to share her opinions and was attentive in the dressing room and brought what was asked, which was great. She also had great advice on sizes. \r \r I am completely happy with the experience. I do wish it wasn't so expensive, but at least I am confident about the look and fit of my purchases, which means a lot to me. Pros: variety of swimsuits Cons: expensive-although good quality more

Horrible Customer Service!!! 7/7/2009

I'm sorry I bought here a swim suit! This lady is so rude, impolite, unhelpful and grumpy! She even doesn't try to be nice or helpful, she makes you a favor by taking your credit card! When you pay almost $200 for a swimming suit, you expect at least a smile or ""Thank you"", but you don't get anything from this witch. When I bought the swim suit I was told that as long as I have the receipt and the tags on I can always exchange it or get a store credit without a problem. Their refund policy is only for 10 days, which is also very surprisingly short. I came after a couple of months with the receipt and the tags on swim-suit and told that I want a store credit for next year, as I have another swim suit for this year. She didn't agree to give me store credit, she started to shout on me why it took me so long to come there and so on. Now I'm stuck with this expensive swimsuit, my only options is to exchange it in store, but they don't have my sizes in swimsuits that I like. I have never seen such horrible customer service, All stores I can think about always give you at least a store credit if not a refund when you have the receipt and unworn piece of clothing. I will never buy there anything else!!! P.S. I thought that witch had a German accent, but maybe it was French. Pros: selection of swim suites Cons: rude employees, imposible to return or to get a store cred more

VERY good customer service :))) 1/21/2009

I absolutely hate swimsuit shopping, so I was nervous walking in, but the ladies helped me right away and made me feel right at home. They have an amazing selection: every kind of bottom, every kind of top (xs all the way to 38DD). It's very hard for me to find a top that fits well and has support. The lady showed me every style top that comes in D's and DD's. I brought my two kids with me and there was a seating area in the back with a television. The lady put on a kid movie and they didn't even want to leave until the movie was over!!! I definately recommend this to all the women out there that have a hard time finding the right suit for them! Pros: great selection, helpful customer service Cons: a bit pricey, but it's totally worth it more

Very good customer service! 1/9/2009

I went to buy 2 swimsuits at this store last week and i am very pleased with the great selection of product and the customer service there!\r As westlynette, i first went to this shop expecting rude employees but i was instead helped by some very nice, helpful employees. I recommend this store to anyone wanting to buy some nice swimsuit.\r \r PS: I am very surprise that disliked that french employee as i found her very nice, she also gave me very good advices on choosing my suits. Pros: Wide selection and amazing customer service. Cons: A bit expensive. more

And the award for 8/8/2008

I don't even think this business deserves ONE star, nevertheless FIVE. I wished I had read everyone's comments about this store before going today. The Reviews are dead-on, the female employees at ""Everything But Water"" (aka: Once known as Just Add Water) are the rudest people I've ever came across. Today while shopping, I took a mess of hangers to the dressing room area, waiting for one of the rude ladies to direct me into a room. The employee, Laure, finally acknowledged my existence and asked me rudely, ""You NEED something?"" I really wanted to reply, ""How about a dressing room Sherlock?"" But I kindly replied I needed a room. I liked one bathing suit very much, but I debated on spending my money here. I left but later returned the same day for the bathing suit since no other store had it. Laure, one of the rude employee saw me walk in at 6:50pm. I was aware the store closed at 7pm. Laure this time actually spoke to me, but said, ""The store closes at 7."" (really? No kidding sherlock?) I told Laure, ""Yes, I know. And I won't take long. I know what I want to buy."" Laure follows me around, like I'm going to steal something. (Gawd, I did not want to shop here, but I'm so desperate to buy this one-piece for our cruise!) I go to the register to pay. Laure doesn't say ""Thank You."" I was kinda surprised she just didn't THROW the bathing suit in my face. Laure was the most disgustingly rude person I've ever met when it comes to Customer Service. I would rather order my bathing suits on-line or go elsewhere than to ever shop at this store again. Why would such a pretty store support such LOUSY customer service? Being in this store made me feel like I was living life where segregation existed ! Take your business elsewhere ladies. Pros: Variety of Bathing Suits Cons: Extremely Lousy Customer Service, Service with a Frown and Rudeness. more

everything BUT customer service! 7/26/2008

I'm disgusted by my experience! Before purchasing several pieces on Monday (and they are not inexpensive!) I specifically asked what their return policy was. I was told ""10 days with tags still on and a receipt"". The owner helped me purchase the items- she knew I had a sale item, but NEVER mentioned that I couldn't return that!! On Friday, I tried to return the sale item and she said, in her snippy French accent ""But that is on sale- you can not return that!"" I pointed to the sign at the register that told me I had 10 days to return items, and also told her that she told me herself I had 10 days- and she pointed to the receipt that said sale items are not returnable. I added that one could only know about the sale policy AFTER buying the item and she said ""there is NOWHERE that you can return sale items"". The other woman who was trying to be helpful (she was very kind) with the transaction agreed with me when I said ""Sure there is- most places let you"". I feel like I have been cheated. I told her she should have some sort of sign up stated her 'no return on sale items"" policy. She just gave me a blank look. What a rip off that store is!!! I will NEVER shop there again, and i would NEVER recommend it to anyone! Pros: pretty large variety Cons: horrible customer service, way overpriced, unclear return policy more

Customer Service in the toilet 7/21/2008

I was told to go to Just Add Water because I couldn't find a solid colored bikini top in my size at any local retail stores. I was told before I went that it is a tad expensive. They were not lying. I wandered around the store a good 10 minutes looking for my size without anyone asking me if I needed any help. I did notice that the girls 10 years younger than me were being waited on hand and foot. I finally got tired of digging so I asked a worker to assist me. She found me two tops which I tried on and bought them for $148.00. Once I got home I realized that one of them didn't match the board shorts I already had as well as I thought it did. Actually, it was a major difference. It still had the tags intact but I could not find my credit card receipt. When I called them about returning it she told me she would look through the receipts and call me back. It has been 3 days and still no call. I thanked her numerous times for helping me with this and she never said a word back. All I know is I won't be going back there. Actually, I will use my marketing degree to tell everyone what kind of experience I had there. Pros: Regardless of size you can find a swimsuit. Cons: Unfriendly sales people, expensive more

Patient and Helpful 8/15/2007

I read the reviews before going to Just Add Water. I went expecting rude, unhelpful staff. I have to say how pleasantly suprised I was. I had extremely helpful and patient sales staff. I tend to like to explore all my options before making a decision. The staff was understanding of that and even called their corporate office to find options that were not yet in stores. They remained friendly throughout my 1.5 hour shopping experience. \r \r I also appreciated the variety of styles and sizes of suits with tops and bottoms sold individually, that helps when your figure isn't in perfect balance. Pros: Staff and variety Cons: a little pricey more

Snobby Employees 10/30/2006

I love the swimsuits at Just Add Water but you can find the same ones online (try victorias secret or molly brown swimwear) or at other department stores and I would rather do this than deal with the less than friendly staff. Everytime I have shopped there, the employees are always extremely snobby and rude and I can look through the whole store without being asked once for help. I guess you have to dress and look a certain way to deserve service. I hate stores like this and no longer shop at this one at the arboretum. I would rather pay shipping. Pros: Selection Cons: Customer Service and Over-priced more

Nice Suits 11/18/2003

They have a great selection year round.. if you don't have time to spare this is definitely the place to go as you won't be disappointed. However, it is more than a bit pricey. Pros: great selection, lots of fitting rooms, lots of parking Cons: Pricey, condescending workers more
