Good Beer 4/14/2006

While the food leaves something to be desired, European Street does offer quite an array of beer. There's many different kinds from all over the world. The sandwiches, however, are nothing special. But, what they lack in the sandwich department they definitely make up in the desserts. European Street offers several different rich cakes and cheesecakes, giant cookies, and they have a large selection of imported, hard to find candies and treats. If you're looking for a place to try a new brew or grab a dessert, this is it for you. But I would not suggest making a night out for dinner here. more

uninspiring 3/19/2006

I have to agree with Nancy, the food is just not very impressive. The menu will get you excited about them... but lets face it. its just sandwiches and potato chips. They do have a drink around the world club, and like, a zillion different kinds of beers. I like to go for desserts, they have tasty looking cookies that look like a big scoop of ice cream... but they aren't great. good to give as a gift though. what you really want to go for is a slice of cake. Also, they have an adorable market with a surprisingly lot of stuff in it. from well priced wine (almost all are 2 bottles for 10$s) to candy, to hot sauce, its a great place to find a gift. more

A little taste of Europe in the neighborhood.... 9/14/2005

Definitely a lunch sort of place. The atmosphere is distinctly European (It reminds me of Germany or Barvaria). The menu is large and while the food is fun, it's not anything all that unique. The descriptions of the entrees (mostly sandwichs and soups) are far more european than the actual items. The prices aren't bad, but there can be an enormous lunchtime crunch. Thus.....slow service. I've been twice and not tempted to fight the crowd although the bakery case does look tempting. They seem to have an extensive menu of European wine and beer that goes over well with the crowd. more
