Worst

I have been there and have not been back. The people are very nice but they try to sell you product on your way out and are very pushy about it. It is not a very private experie...

I attended the Euro. Very unprofessional. 6/28/2010

I went to the Euro. The teachers discussed private events with another student. The woman that my former instructor was talking with someone who owned a salon in my home town. I think it is completely unprofessional. I had a horrible experience there, and years after graduation, this information coming up topped it off. You would think as the lead instructor she would know what information is appropriate to share with others. The money is not worth the education. I was very excited to start! Not at all what I would have expected. Cons: Very unprofessional more

Very bad experience 6/11/2009

An overall poor experience. Students are not prepared to see clients. Their appearances are not professional. Most students have multiple piercings, even nose rings. This is not a head shop, it is supposed to be a school where students are training to work in the mainstream. \r I should have stopped the student when I had the opportunity and told her I was leaving. But I tried to be fair. Cons: everything more

An excellent school 9/11/2008

I went to school at the euro institute and I am disappointed in some of the reviews the euro has received. First, it is a school so we are learning so of course it's not the same as going to a spa with licensed estheticians. We work on clients for over six months so if you happen to get us in the first month yes it might be a little rough and that is why you get such a great deal in price. We train for 700 hours compared to other schools that train only 600 hours. I have a bachelor's degree and some of the tests I took in college did not compare to the complexity of the tests I took at the euro. I learned very valuable information and I have great reviews in the professional spa world. Please give the students and the school a break! Pros: excellent prices, knowledgable students and teachers Cons: It's a bit of a drive more

Beware of this school & hard sell practices 6/1/2008

I guess some have great service at this school, others just get horrible service. I am one of those who got the horrible service. I don't get it....I have tried twice now and both times were disasterous. I tried again because I believe everyone deserves a second chance. Wrong!! The students I ended up were absolutely incompetent. Maybe they had just started, I am not sure. But my skin was a mess the next day...rashy and sore. I have very sensitive skin and I communicated that. If my skin had been diagnosed properly, perhaps I would not have had the reaction I did. I requested both times that they use as natural products as possible and both times, I know they did not. I know this because after my second visit, I looked up the product line. It is a very old school product line and not the highest quality available. And of course, their policy is to force their students to sell, sell, sell. I had to state twice that I wasn't ready to purchase any of their products. I did however purchase an essential oil which I did like, but not for my skin care. For the future, I will be going to a skin care salon where the equipment is up to date and working and the estheticians know what they are doing. ""You get what you pay for"" and this place certainly makes that statement true. \r Pros: No pros here Cons: everything more

Great experience 4/23/2008

Great experience all around. Me and 3 gals friends frequently go and always have a positive experience. Yes, there is not much privacy but the relaxation of a facial massage that is just not provided anywhere else for the price makes up for it. I have had facials many high end salons and 3X the price does not give me the massage. Please remember this is a school and if you are looking for privacy or something different then it is not here. For a school experience this was great, clean and everyone is very friendly and polite. Pros: Price, friendly staff and students Cons: Time goes by too quickly more

Fantastic Facial 4/9/2008

I think that the sour pusses that wrote the bad reviews about this place must be high on something. This place rocks!! I got a gift certificate for Christmas, so thought I'd go, even though I had read the reviews from CitySearch. The day that I went (a Saturday) was very busy, but I was greeted by a very refreshed looking, pleasant, smiling esthetician. The facial she performed was amazing...she asked me several questions, and offered some great suggestions on what I could do to improve my skin. She was very knowledgable, and because I had read the previous reviews on this school, I was looking for some ""80's looking teachers"" and waiting for my student to make a mistake, or mess something up, or give me a horrible facial, but everyone there was very professional looking, most were pretty hip looking, and the facial as I've stated was amazing! The place is a school, so it's not as private as a regular spa, but I really wasn't expecting it to be, and I didn't find it ""Euro-trashy"" at all. It was decorated very tastefully and if there were any complaints, it would have to be that it was a little institutional looking in some ways, but again, it's a school. The estheticians that this school puts out are going to go far in this industry. They seem to get great training. The teacher that came over to my student went through a whole skin diagnosis routine, and I felt that I was really getting special treatment, I learned alot about my skin, and realized that these students aren't just slapping product on people's faces, they're learning about skin from the inside out, and learning about all different types of skins, and how to educate people on their own particular skin. It was a great experience, and I can't wait to go back for a body treatment!! Pros: Great prices, students, ambiance Cons: gets a little noisy towards the end more

surprised this school stays open 5/4/2007

Followed up with their version of customer service. The person I spoke with obviously had no authority to do anything and so I asked to speak to someone with authority. Asked for a callback but never received one. Pretty much was blown off. I have decided to file a complaint with the Washington State Department of Cosmetology regarding their practices. I doubt anything will be done but who knows. I know I am not the only client who has had issues with this shoddy excuse of a school. Cons: Everything more

Bad experience 4/16/2007

I am surprised to see two reviews about this esthetics school that are negative. However, I didn't even bother to write a review after my last horrible experience there. \r \r I have no idea what is going on but the last time I was there, the students looked very unhappy. My appointment was later in the day but everyone of the students that I saw looked exhausted. I had an appointment for a naturopathic facial. It wasn't so great and I know because I had been there before and this student used products other than the ones that are used in this facial. The facial massage was awful. I just wanted it to be done. The whole experience was making me more and more uncomfortable. (These students are clearly not ready to see customers when they do. Maybe some more work on each other would help...I really don't know.) I won't be back, that is for sure. \r \r I asked for a particular student because the last time I had a very good experience. I thought I would stay with that student. The front desk told me that she was no longer at the school. And they didn't mean she graduated. I tried to find out more about her but they just kept referring me to another student. (I really believe she was going to be a great esthetician when she completed the course.)\r \r This school's reputation is declining rapidly. I have talked to others who concur. These students are unprepared and they are being taught procedures that also out of the scope of practice for any esthetician, not just students. I am seriously considering filing a complaint with the Cosmetology Divison of the department of licensing. Cons: Everything; don't waste your time or money more

Don't patronize this place 4/13/2007

Euro trashy atmosphere, the 80's look in instructors, especially the head instructor. Forceful selling of treatments and products. Students not ready to see clients. (Not too intelligent. Can barely carry on a conversation) No privacy. Pros: Nothing Cons: Unintellligent students, forced selling of products and treatments, Euro trashy atmosphere more

OK Spa service 3/29/2007

This is an esthetic school...So student will be offering you your services. They have great prices...and depending on which student you get...You'll have an average experience Pros: Cost Cons: You're out in the open - There's no privacy more
