I Love My Hair Cut! 11/3/2010

I moved to Jacksonville a few months ago and have visited a total of 3 salons for cut and color appointments. Ashley D cut my hair today and she gave me such a beautiful cut. The cut was $55 which is expensive but its worth it, to me, for the level of artistry, detail and talent. Another salon had given me some unblended, choppy and tacky-looking layers in my bob and Ashley understood my concerns exactly. I left feeling great about my hair and can't wait to go back in a few weeks for highlights. I am so relieved to find a salon like Envy, here in Jacksonville. Its a fun, hip salon and I highly recommend it. more

These ladies know hair! 11/2/2010

4 visits now and I love this place! Ashley has done my color and cuts-beautiful! I am very careful in selecting a colorist and did my research online to find the best! The other Ashley (!) did my wedding style and understood what I wanted! She was patient and didn't mind me changing my mind half way thru! And everyone at my wedding asked who did my hair! It's a comfortable, fun place to be and I recommend them highly! more

Horrible & Overpriced! 9/27/2010

A group of us went to Envy to get updos for a formal occassion. The owner was rude to us as well as her employees. She was totally unprofessional to say the least. The salon made everyone's hair look the same no matter what the requested look was or the picture looked like. They were also extremely overpriced. I have gotten several updos over the years at much nicer salons and spent half the price. I would NEVER go back or recommend this place to anyone...EVER. more

Not Going Back 4/14/2010

Don't get me wrong because all of the stylists are not like that and to be fair they are decent colorists and hair stylists. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is if you're willing to be yelled at for changing your appointment or some other menial request then by all means call them today and make and appt...just keep in mind that they specialize in sexiness, not kindness. Pros: Good Colorists/Stylists Cons: Professionalism, Rudeness more

I love my hair! 11/20/2009

Ashley D. does a wonderful job- I went to Envy in September on a whim and have never been more impressed. Growing up with a hairstylist for a mom (literally), I never had a reason to go to another stylist besides her, but living in Jax and with her out of town, I was forced to find a salon. I am so excited that I found Envy and have now gone back to Envy for a second time and I love it. Personally, I like people that provide entertainment to the lengthy experience of sitting in a chair while someone works on your head- their banter is entertaining to me and they always have interesting stories- I like not being the one to have to generate a conversation. I also enjoy their flexibility- when I work 40 hours a week and I can call in and schedule an appointment that allows me to work a full day and get my hair done- I'm happy! I highly recommend this salon. Pros: Expert with Blonde Hair and Styling Cons: Location isn't the most convenient for me more

Top of the line 11/4/2009

Ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!! We love Envy..Half my family goes to envy and we are always told what a beautiful bunch we are..Ashley the owner does our hair and we couldnt be happier..To the previous reviewer,,Ashley's no nonsence attitude and crazy personality is why we love her..Trust me if something happened with your hair at Envy , which i'm sure is rare,and Ashley didnt cooperate with you ..you had to have been giving her Major attutude, to the point where she said, Over You....we love you ash!!!!! WOULD NEVER GO BACK 11/3/2009

Wanted to give my brown/blonde hair a ""winter"" look and specifically told the girl.....""Not too dark"". I even provided pictures. I ended up with black purplish hair. It is awful!! I spoke with the owner and requested my money back. I explained to her that I had another salon look at my hair only hours after I left her salon and her comment was ""Any salon that could have gotten you in on such last minute notice on a Saturday is not reputable"". She said she would be willing to reimburse me only half of my money back because she had already paid the stylist. I told her that my hair was ruined. I was accused of exaggerating. She told me that she was the professional and that I wasn't going to TELL HER that my hair was ruined...... She was less than sympathetic, FULL of ATTITUDE, and unprofessional to say the least. She bragged to me about how large her clientele was.......hope she can keep it!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone. Bottom line - I did not get what I wanted and the salon's customer service was crap. more

I have been going to this salon for a while now and its always a great experience!. This salon is so comfortable, the girls are so down to earth and hilarious ! Ashley D. is my stylist and she is amazing! she always takes the time to make sure my hair will look its best! my blond is perfect every time! very professional!
