Of the two sisters who own this place, one is friendly, professional, well-adjusted and helpful. The other sister is the absolute polar opposite; rude, aggressive, unprofessional and verbally belittling. Like some of the other reviewers, we found ECGA was okay when our kids were much younger and just getting started. But as they've progressed and been approached about competing, the high pressure attitude from the nasty owner was ratcheted up to an egregious and abusive level. When we insisted on a detailed accounting of the demanded charges and onerous contract, we were asked to leave. The blatant disrespect was completely inappropriate when coming from someone providing a service for a fee. Certainly not if this person expects to stay in business or to have successful personal relationships. This woman will eventually fail on her current trajectory and in the process she's bound to leave a wide path of emotionally manipulated children. One must ask themselves if they're willing to allow their child to be exposed to such an abusive and toxic personality.
With that said, the hired coaching and administrative staff are generally great. There are some great coaches there but the one owner is all over the emotional spectrum and it becomes a very bad influence on the kids. We too have seen the high turn-over during our time there, unfortunately.
If the nasty owner would step away from the place, it would be great, but so long as she remains we can't in good faith recommend this place to anyone. And as we've looked around the area for a different place for our kids to attend, we've come to realize just how awful this woman really is. We're frustrated that we were suckered into having our kids continue to be exposed to this awful business owner and we're glad to leave. We should have done so years ago.
As parents who care deeply about the well-being of our children, we sincerely hope that other kids don't experience the emotionally insensitive clod that runs ECGA. Buyers beware.
