Elegant Affair

The Service I received was very bad. The Lady that waited on me was not nice. I asked her about Mother of the Bride dresses and she just said "They are on the rack". I asked about alterations and she said "We don't do those", then asked about getting measured to check my size and she said "I only do it for paying customers" I left and was not happy. I will be shopping somewhere else. more

The owner of this shop is a witch. She is unbelievable. I can't believe ther business is still open. I went into this shop expecting good service like all of the other bridal shops that I had been to and I was very dissapointed. The dressing rooms had cutains and lied along the row of gowns that hung on the wall. That isn't the bad part.... and I think this is absolutely rude. OUT OF NO WHERE, with no warning, the owner will open the curtain wide open, while you could be standing there naked trying to get the dress on (which happened to me) and just stand there and watch you put the gown on. and she would even say anything.. she would just watch, and let other people see you from outside. and this happend more than once on different occasions. I am from Fairmont so I hear all of the bad things about this place alot. She will get mad and yell at people who don't buy gowns from her store. For an example, the woman who is her banker.. her daughter is getting married and they found a dress somewhere else. and do you know what this witch had the nerve to do? She went to the bank and riemed this woman out for not buying the gown from her store, infront of all her co-workers. What does that tell you right there. What an absolute stupid stupid stupid lady. She does NOT know how to run a bridal shop. She is rude, rude, rude. I have also heard that she orders the wrong dresses and/or dress size. She wont even give out the designer name the bridesmaid dresses. I mean, I can see how she would do that for the bridal gowns, but the bridesmaid dresses too? So I called the her to ask her if she could tell me the name of the designer who did the bridesmaid dresses that I wanted, and she said in the snottiest way, "We dont give out that information" but ofcourse I worked my magic and got it out of her. And guess what I am doing. I am going to a different bridal shop, who carries that same designer and ordering it from them instead. and this means I will have to drive an hour away, vs. 4 blocks away if I went to this shop. That right there tells you how much I would hate doing business with this lady. I could go on and on about this shop, but I would go on forever if I did that, so I will stop right here. But, a word of advice, DO NOT order anything from this store. You will regret it!!! more

Doing business with this company is amazing. They are always willing to assist you with anything that you need to have done. Personally, I have used their services for the past ten years and have been pleased with their staff and ability to get quality items for their customers. The selection is limited in the store, but they can always order something that you would like to try! Elegant Affair is a great place to do business. more

The Elegant Affair in downtown Fairmont is a great little wedding shop that carrys a large variety of wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses. They have fairly decent prices and large dressing rooms. I went there for my wedding dress. I found the service to be horrible and the owner is terribly rude. I found a dress I liked and put down a rather large sum of money so that the owner would hold the dress for me for a while. When I came back 2 weeks later to tell her there was some medical issues happening and I wouldn't be able to get married right then so I wouldn't need the dress she insisted that I had out a down payment on the dress and it was non refundable. That was not the case, I had only asked her to hold the dress and she insisted I give her money for that. So I never got my money or the dress. When I do get married I will NOT be shopping there! more
