I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the new Washington location this past weekend. The staff was super friendly and attentive and the food was awesome. We ate the beef fajitas and had a few margaritas. We sat outside and the ambience is completely different from the inside but it was just as well a good dining experience. I recommend this restaurant with utmost confidence and will continue to frequent all the El Tiempo's and Ninfa's in Houston. more

wow, i love the new location on washington! richmond location was okay-- but the new place is hands down the BEST in houston. no more driving to the original ninfa's for us! i alway order some thing different when i go and it is all DEELISH! my favorites? chicken fajitas- shrimp fajitas- guacamole-SALSA & chips galore!!!! I've been to the one on Richmond and then frequented the one on Katy (was definitely less crowded) but since it moved to Washington, this is my regular location. Their fajitas (beef is best) and castillas (ribs) are fabulous and is enough for at least 2 incl. leftovers, which makes the price very reasonable. I'm so addicted that I go almost every weekend. Then I can properly enjoy their very good and STRONG margaritas (beware). It gets pretty crowded, though, but usually we get seated pretty timely cosidering the no. of people. I have never had a problem with getting someone to take my drink order, so I think the other reviewer must have not been assertive enough, as the waitstaff is very friendly (they are a little inept at times, though, I agree), but I still highly recommend the place. Amazing...after two and half hours in the bar area spent begging for a menu and service...nada. We could get drinks, but no one would take a food order...not the waiters, not the manager, not the bartender. They were all very polite, but totally imept.
