To try to compare this restaurant to one in Chicago is like trying to compare a black truffle to a button mushroom.  This is NOT the same thing as, say, Topolobampo.  So if you're not expecting fusion, Pan-American fare by a celebrity chef, you will not be disappointed in El Rancho Grande.
Pros:  Great service, well made Mexican-American food
