I'm a Mexican girl who was raised in Southern California so when I moved here I had a tough time adjusting to the fact that I couldn't just walk outside and grab a carne asada taco when I wanted one, or have some chorizo with eggs when i craved it. At El Potrero, I can. They have your typical combo plates there which is what most people order since that's what non-Mexicans will usually do, but I like to have their chorizo, carne asada tacos, and their chile rellenos are very good though different than what I am used to. I really wish they served menudo and pozole there, but I'm happy to have corn tortillas, good salsa and real guacamole. I wish they would open one on Miller Rd. though!
Pros: Chroizo! Corn tortillas!
Cons: how about real tamales?
