El Jardin

Wow! I am writing a review for the first time for any reason. I felt this one deserved my time and attention. I am a rather simple food pleasure person, but the ""tacos"" and the fantastic ""green chili"" at El Hardin needs the entire metro Denver populace's attention. I had a wonderful meal and enjoyed everything beyond compare. I enjoyed hearing the comments of people from tables around me who were enjoying some very sophisticated seafood dishes. What a find this restaurant was, thanks to a friend who recommended it. We just moved from Chicago and have been on the search for the best of each ethnic restaurant. El Jardin is the winner for Mexican! The service has been very friendly and attentive each time we have gone. What brings us back though is definitely the food, and for my husband also the margaritas which he really enjoys. The menu offers quite a variety of food, sure to please all tastes, and specials every night of the week. What can I say but the food is delicious and that is why we keep returning! We moved here from New Mexico last year, and we were desperate to find a great Mexican restaurant. After a few disappointments, we found El Jardin! The food is great, and I'm still working my way through the extensive menu. The staff is always attentive and friendly. El Jardin makes the best Mexican food I have ever had. The food is always spicy and tasty, the service is excellent and friendly, the atmosphere is very pleasant. I would recommend this restaurant to any one. I have to drive a little far to get there, but I think it is worth it for such good food. Always seated in a timely manner even on really busy times. The staff is friendly and actually seem happy to see you. The food is excellent, served hot, never cold. In all the times we have eaten there, have walked away satisfied, full )nice portions) and will keep going back. Thanks more

When you enter El Jardin you are warmly greeted by the hostess, and seated quickly. The restaurant, booths and tables are clean and inviting. The servers and waitresses are knowledgeable about the menu, helpful with your specific tastes, engaging, efficient and friendly. Your meal arrives hot, and the cold drinks are refilled quickly. They are able to accomodate a lone diner, or large groups; wanting the filling and tasty food. The chips are warm, the salsa is just spicy enough. We have tried quite a few items on the menu, but I go back to the chicken burrito-filled with spicy chicken, and sauce to your 'heat' register. I always order a side dish of pinto, refried beans. My wife loves the quesadilla with chicken and peppers. The food is consistently excellent, you know exactly how it will taste, from time to time. We have taken other family members there, and even the biggest of eaters can order their fill, and be able to have leftovers to take home. The food is an excellent value, as well as being prepared with the freshest ingredients, in a timely manner, to your specifications. If you want a quick meal, or to talk leisurely over a longer time frame, they will assist you. We love lunch out, and are happy to drive to this part of our city for our Mexican food fix. Everyone will be happy and content when leaving, but vowing to return! They have a frequent diner card, contests, free birthday meals, and other great coupon incentives for diners to enjoy. We had a Graduation Party 6/2/07 for our Daughter Erika at El Jardin. We still have people talking about everything from the beautiful Banquet Room to the service and the variety of food plus drinks for the adults and other drinks appropriate for minors , the dance floor was roomy enough for all to have a good time dancing. What made it very easy on our guests where the servers who not only were bilingual, they were also prompt with everything, and so polite. They made it so easy for us. So we want to Thank Ben and all the staff for making us feel like we weren't just customers to them....they really did make us feel more like family. Not very many company's could make there customers feel that way. And thats why we'll keep going back to ""EL JARDIN."" With a Mexican Restaurant on every other block around, El Jardin really does try harder and they succeed too! Love the patio in the summer!!! I actually worked at this restaruant for a short time period and this restauant is the most organized, clean and well put together restaurant. My husband and I have been going to El Jardin for the last couple of years-I have to say there is nothing like it. The service people are always friendly and fast and the food is always magnificent! I would reccomend anyone looking for a good Mexican food to try El Jardins out! more

El Jardin has the best Mexican food in the area. There is a big choice to pick from if you want to try someting new. The food comes out fast, so if you are in a hurry and are limited on time you know you can go to El Jardin and not a drive thru. I have never had to wait more than 10 min. to get a table and that is even on busy nights. It is a great place to take the family. Pros: lot of room, great staff, have big open room for parties. Mexican food is my favorite type of food, so I have eaten at most of the Mexican Restraunts in Denver and many around the state. El Jardin is in my opinion the best all around for food and service. Everything I have ever ordered has been absolutly great, and the gals that wait on you are the best. They are some of the friendliest people I know and take very good care of me. Even though the founder of El Jardin is my grandpa i still think this is the best mexican restaurant you can ever find in the Denver area. The workers are amazing too. I would very much reccomend Juanita as your server. (i may have spelled her name wrong SORRY) She is very friendly and fun. I know someday the next generation will run this restaurant and we promise to make it your best dining experience ever.
