I am a certified master chef. my family was and still lives in denver. back in the day we had some really nice italian places in north denver. thats where my mom grew up. we have been going to the edgewater since i was six. if any of you quote on qoute so called food people or as i call you, food snobs, have any idea! respect the place you moved here from or go back to california or wherever your from. hey foodies, wolf gang puck and i had pizza there next to sloans lake about a year ago and we both loved it. a great denver tradition, and a must go place on the same plane as gordos mexican food. denver traditions!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: great pizza , cold beer , nice people Cons: food snobs will hate more

Want poor tasting, unauthentic pizza? Go here! 4/27/2005

Being that I was born and raised on some of the best pizza in the country, I can honestly say that Edgewater pizza is not even worth trying. The dough lacks any taste, the sauce has no flavor, and the toppings were skimpy to say the least. Laugh if you must, but I'd take a $5 frozen Freschetta Italian style pepperoni over an Edgewater pizza anyday. more

POOR SERVICE 4/26/2005

Pizza is GREAT! Service need ALOT of work, the waitresses were not very experienced. The waitresses were not customer freindly. more

Throwback ZA 1/1/2004

This place is great!! The pizza is amazing and the atmosphere makes this place one of kind! While sipping on your scooner (goblet of beer) read a little history about the little town called edgewater. Make sure you put your name on the the birthday list...to recieve your free scooner on your b-day. Free bus to the bronco games means no worries about driving or parking. If you are looking for great pizza and excellent calazones...this is your next place to try Pros: outside seating, parking more

Edgewater Inn Rock! 5/8/2003

I can't believe that this excellent pizza is as low on the list as it is!! The other places are ok, but, I'm sorry to say that NOTHING compares to the Edgewater Inn's pizza! I've been going there for nearly 30 years, and everything remains awesome! Pros: greaizza, family environment, inexpensive Cons: limited parking, location more

Howdy Paisano 12/5/2002

I grew up in Edgewater and from time to time my Dad even delivered pizzas for Benny. It's just a corner bar that sponsors local sports teams and has football/baseball/basketball & hockey on ALL the time. The Howdy Special is the only pizza outside of New York that my husband will eat -- no gimmicks (put honey on your pizza crust -- please), just a great pizza. more

bad service and cold pizz 10/5/2002

Some friends and I recently visted, having heard how good it was. When we arrived there were no tables, and no where out of the way to stand. The pizza when it arrived was cold and not what we ordered, and the drinks were watered. The waitress was very arrogant. Needless to say we will not be back. more

Down Home Pizza 8/27/2002

Many pizza parlors have pizza that tastes worse than the cardboard it comes in. Edgewater has great down home pizza, the kind you tell all of your friends about. I have done just that. Pros: great food, cold beer, fun Cons: smoky more

Howdy Paisano! - They're Still the Best 7/18/2002

Let's face it - Denver pizza will never compare with the big boys: Chicago, New York, Rome... But for the best za in our cow-town, you have to stop into Edgewater. On a side street next to Sloan's Lake, Edgewater Inn has the best crust (is it butter that makes it so tasty??), tasty sauce, and all of usual toppings (Ahh - if only they would replace the canned mushrooms with the real deal). Try the Howdy Special for a little kick to the tastebuds. The schooners of beer are unmatched around town, and the price can't be beat. The ""divey"" atmosphere is straight out of decades past, and the wait staff is efficient and friendly enough. And with Sloan's Lake so nearby for an after dinner stroll, dinner at the Edgewater Inn is almost a negative calorie affair! Pros: great food, fun for everyone, inexpensive more
