Duty Tire & Service Center

I have used Duty Tire in Raleigh a number of times. They are honest, professional, and most of their customers are return business. I have seen regulars come in and say, ""check my car and do whatever needs to be done - then call me when it is ready."" Another regular customer came by with cookies she baked for the technicians. These customers trust and love this company - after seeing this type of relation between the owner and the customer, I was convinced. And I was right - this is a Five Star auto repair shop. \r \r more

My comments about David Duty and Duty tires are way overdue. A friend, Tim, recommended me to Duty Tire a year ago. David is professional, friendly, efficient and recommended several sets. Great price!He had them put on within an hour, AND, he reminded me to bring the car back for tire balance and rotation iafter 6000 miles for safety and tire life. I did that and David and his crew did a great job, with curtesey and perfection. I highly recommend them. more

I've been meaning to write a review of Duty Tire on Tryon Rd in Garner for a while. First let me say that I have had bad experiences buying tires. BJ's, dropped my car off at 8:00 in the morning for new tires and an alignment, returned after work the car hadn't been touched, they said they couldn't change the tires because the alignment rack was messed up. Merchant tires, took the car back twice because the new tires they had installed had a bad wobble at 55. NTB in Cary, they let me sit in the waiting room for about 2 hours, they had forgotten about me or something, they had my phone number, and so I waited like a fool for them to either call or come get me. Well with the Merchant tire episode I was livid and took it in to Duty tire, 20 minutes later, no wobble at any speed. Duty tire might not be shiny and glossy but when you're dealing with tires and oil, trust the guys with the dirty hands. I should also say I am very picky about my car and do what ever I can myself, I don?t trust anyone. <--More idiocy from dealerships. more

We have been using Duty Tire (Tryon road) for 20 years. Service has been great and they have always provided a good value. Greatest asset has been not trying to oversell or sell services we didn't want, while informing us of what our cars really needed. If something could wait a week or two, they told us. I trust them without question! more

Our family has been a customer of Duty Tire for over 25 years. They are trustworthy, professional, experienced, and the prices are reasonable. They stand behind their work. We cannot say enough positive things about this establishment. We recommend them to everyone we know. more

Went in for an oil change and fuel filter replacement and was charged labor+part as the cost of the part, along with a second charge for labor, leading to an extremely high price. They responded quickly and sent a note and a receipt having refunded the difference, though I don't know if it was because of my posting a bad review or because they caught it after I left. Pros: Personal attention and fast correction of issues. They seem to do good enough work. Cons: Price is still a little on the high side, and they aren't the fastest shop in town. more

.. but this place is the best I have found. Repeatedly I've taken my cars to dealers to be told I needed 800 dollars of work. When Dave looks at my car I get just what I need for a third of the price. The work is quality, using quality parts, and he's the only honest mechanic I've found. Highly recommended. Pros: Honest, quality work, friendly. Cons: They don't fix everything that can go wrong with a car. more
