This little mom and pop boat dock is one of the remaining originals to old Knoxville. You can buy the nameplate ""Duncan Yacht Club"" here. The dock is located 2 to 3 miles from the major thoroughfare of Northshore Drive via the curvy Duncan Road. Duncan Road has changed dramatically in the last decade with sprawling, looming giant home developments shadowing the older cottages of Duncan Road. The once wooded and sleepy Duncan Road is now a speedway for the SUVs and imported sports cars driven by their impatient drivers. Take care not to get run off the road by the new residents. But the boat dock is still a little haven of how Knoxville used to be. The price to launch is cheap ($5.00) or you can just hang out and sip a beverage and talk to the original Duncans.
