Dr Trans Transmissions

Chris down at Dr Trans ask me to write a review; I said I would be glad. I have a Lawn Care Business and I pull a big load around San Diego in my 2006 Ford F-250. I keep the transmission Power Flushed every 20K miles and it still shifts like new. If you pull anything with your truck call Dr. Trans and ask about the power flush. Just like you change your oil, same is true with transmission fluid. more

Who like’s to pay for car repair? Almost nobody, But with Dr. Trans I got only the transmission parts that were broke and did not have t pay for a new transmission. Saving me about $500.00. I would recommends Dr. Trans to anyone. My 1999 Ford F-150 is doing great now. more

The short and sweet of it is I got a good price on my 2003 Benz and it only took one day. Nice folks to deal with no over sell, no under sell if you know what I mean, they were honest.If you need transmission repair in San diego give Dr,Trans a call. more

Dr. Trans was very good. I had limited contact with them. I just went in there and spoke with them about my repairing my nephew's truck. They did the work, and my nephew says the truck is driving much better. So, they were a good recommendation. I also took one of my work trucks to them. It is a GMC 3500 stakebed truck and it needs a lot of major work done. And, it seems to be running fine now. more

Dr. Trans is very knowledgeable and very easy to use. They are customer friendly and efficient as far as time goes. They are not very expensive for what they offer. I have used them for 4 or 5 years for everything transmission related. They have done a couple of rebuilds for me and have serviced my transmission. I experienced SO MANY problems with Dr. Trans' failure to correctly perform my $2,500.- transmission work correctly - even after I brought my 1990 Toyota back to them TWICE to recheck it! / Dr. Trans had failed to replace the FRONT STABILIZER BOLT [DOCUMENTED AND WITNESSED BY ORTIZ AUTOMOTIVE] which holds the transmission in place! - and failed to catch this error despite two of my returns to Dr. Trans for rechecking! Moreover, this led to suspension problems which Dr. Trans refused to accept ANY responsibility for, even though their gross failure to replace the front stablizer bolt - despite 2 recheckings - CAUSED the suspension problems. Two separate mechanics, without any leading comments on my part asked me about my transmission: 1) The first mechanic (at Powerlock LA)[and without using a hoist]: """"Has someone done work on your transmission recently? ... Because your stabilizer bars are loose [these have to be removed and replaced to perform transmission work]."" 2) The second mechanic (at Ortiz Automotive San Diego) put my car upon a hoist and asked me: ""How has your transmission been working?"" I asked: ""Why do you ask?"" He responded: ""Your transmission is MISSING the FRONT TRANSMISSION STABILIZER BOLT [which anchors the transmission to the front end] ! I WISH I had simply taken my car to Luna Transmission who would have charged $1500.- less, and most likely would not have committed such GROSS incompetence - despite TWO RECHECKINGS - as that caused by: Dr. Tran!.
