When I was looking for a new eye doctor after moving to the DC area I found one my insurance would cover who had good credentials and was not affiliated with one of the stores in the mall, hoping a private practice would mean higher quality.
Dr. Barnes and his staff were highly unprofessional, forgot I had an appointment, and then when I finally saw him, he spent five minutes total with me before giving me a new prescription and trying to sell me on Lasik surgery, something I had already told his staff five times I was not interested in.
Beware hidden fees for contact "fittings" and other various exams - all a mystery given the amount of time you spend with a doctor.
Also, their office is located in the same building as a methadone clinic, which makes for interesting elevator rides and not the safest feeling when you're exiting the building.
