Doug Bartholomew & Assoc

This man seems to live to collect weekly payments from the poor men who attend his ""treatment"" sessions. He insists that every man has done something in the past week suggesting DV. If you don't write that you did something wrong he will say you are in denial. He is inflammatory during the sessions, for example, asking how a man would feel if Bartholomew threw a shot put in his face. He also tries to get you to argue with him so that he can accuse you of anger management problems...verbal violence. My divorce judge stated that she specifically did not find me to need DV treatment, and that she sympathized with me for the weekly forms he required me to fill out. I have been told he is alcoholic, vodka being his liquor of choice. If I could rate him at less than 1 star I would. If I could rate him at negative starts I would. He is a scum bag of a human being. It is absolutely scary that he is part of the clique of family law DV providers. BEWARE! more

This so called, ""expert"" is a serious danger to anyone that isn't a women. Let me tell you what your outcome will be regardless of your circumstances: Guilty of committing DV becuase according to Doug - the current law does not adequately address all ""types"" of DV. He found me ""guilty"" of committing DV and ordered me to attend DV classes. When my divorce finally went to trial and the Judge heard his testimony (my ex called him has a witness) and reviewed his ""report"", the Judge made the following comments (only a few of which are providedhere): more

Bartholomew has a history of domestic violence himself. He claims that every man is an abuser. He should be shut down. He is only in this for money and he makes good money......he is nothing more than a crook. I had one meeting with him and he was nothing more than an abusive idiot. He claims to be the godfather of DV treatment in Washington - yet he is unqualified to actually perform the services that he claims he offers. He has managed to align himself with feminist commissioners who think he is an advocate of the female agenda that is so prevalent in WA state. His MO is a negative crock of do do so that he can continue to rape men and distance them from their children. He will not believe that the woman in a relationship could ever be the aggressor, however, his ex-wife thinks otherwise. Time for him and others to either be trained properly or be thrown out as money grabbing, family ruining hypocrites. more

No really, that's what I called the guy. Honestly though, he probably isn't that bad by comparison. It's readily apparent that in quarter century that Doug's been in the business, he's become keenly aware that it's all one big racket -- he puts up little pretense that he's even going to help you, beyond the required formalities (which is probably desirable, since none of these people are actually going to help you). more

I essentially agree with everything in the previous reviews. If you are in need of help Bartholomew won't help you. He will see you as something to maintain his income stream and deal with things accordingly.
