I recently went to the Dots Cupcakes location in Old Town Pasadena (same company, they have 2 locations!) and was pleasantly surprised. As a sweets-aholic I have become quite picky with all of the cupcake bakeries popping up left and right, and Dots did not disappoint. Their interesting and unique flavors (like Fleur de sel, a chocolate cupcake with condensed milk as a filling and caramel with sea salt drizzled on the top) are as good as the standards like vanilla and red velvet and in some cases better (may I recommend the Apple Pie cupcake--delicious!). I will definitely be returning to Dots.
