My wife and I had dinner at Dora's. The food was just okay. The Salsa was like tomato juice with onions and peppers, very runny. We ordered the two for one margaritas. They tasted like overly sweetened Gatorade. My wife, who is a lite weight drinker, agreed with me, that she couldn't detect any alcohol in the drink. Here's my gripe. If you can't make a profit by serving a two for one drink special at the stated price....Charge a buck or two more, but don't insult your customer's by serving lemonade and call it a margarita!! We were part of a group. I spent a good part of the evening recommending truly good Mexican eateries to our friends. We won't be back to Dora's. more

Feel sorta ripped off 10/2/2010

Last time I was at Dora's was years ago and it seemed like they used to have lunch specials and good margaritas.. but I went there with my husband, two kids and dad and would've rather spent the money on a day at the zoo with food for the price! It was ridiculous. more

TacoBell Would Be Better 1/4/2010

Stingy restaurant charges for chips and doesn't even give you more salsa, charges for fountain drink refills. $14 for Carne Asada that is nothing more than ordinary, dried tortilla, very little substance to the whole plate. Chimichanga the size of a deck of cards, good for a snack. Finally received a refill on my drink after I completed my meal. Noticed other guests having to wait over 5min to even be noticed by the hostess even though it was a very slow night. Could have got better food at Taco Bell or Chubbys, and for A LOT cheaper! Cons: Minimal Food, Pricey, Poor Service more

BAD SERVICE AND NASTY FOOD 2/1/2009

I LOVE MEXICAN FOOD, SO WHEN MY FAMILY AND I WENT TO THIS RESTAURANT I WAS VERY EXCITED, UNTIL WE GOT SEATED AND THE STAFF WAS RUDE TO US. THEY SAT US IN A CORNER WHICH IS USUALLY FINE, BUT WHEN IT TOOK FOREVER FOR OUR DRINKS IT WAS KINDA NERVE RACKING, ESPECIALLY SINCE I HAVE 2 SMALL CHILDREN THAT TEND TO GET ANTSY WHEN EXPECTED TO WAIT FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. THEN AFTER 20 MINUTES AND FINALLY GETTING OUR FOOD THAT LOOKED LIKE REHEATED STOUFFERS TV DINNERS I WAS MORE THAN ANNOYED. THE FOOD WAS DISGUSTING AND THE SERVICE WAS NO BETTER, THEY COULDN'T EVEN DIVIDE THE 2 CHECKS PROPERLY AFTER BEING ASKED TWICE. Never Again 11/22/2005

A friend of ours had been telling us for years that Dora's food is the best Mexican food he has ever had, so of course we had to try it. Well, he was WRONG!! This was some of the worst Mexican food we have ever eaten. Taco Bell is better. This food reminded me very much of those really nasty Mexican tv dinners my parents used to try to feed us when they didn't feel like cooking. Also, the atmosphere would have been really nice if there weren't so many desperate people hanging around the bar area trying to pick each other up. On the way out, even though I was walking with my husband, a pathetic drunk man got right in my face and asked me, ""Who are you here with?"" We will NEVER EVER set foot in Dora's again. We were introduced to Dora's by our son & daughter-in-law the first time on a busy week-end nite. We only had to wait about 10 min. to be seated and there were 12-13 in our group! The food was wonderful I recommend the Chili Relleno, a large chili with thin breading so you can taste the chili! My husband recommends the Mexican Hamburger Platter or the Smothered Burrito Platter and tell our favorite server Michelle, Hi! She is a sweetheart! But all the staff is great, as far as that goes! Used to be the best untill... 7/11/2003

Something happened since moving into their new location on s. parker. The staff walk around like zombies, looking like they either hate their jobs or everyone around them. The fajitas came with the chicken all curled up and the veggies soggy. My burrito, nothing special. I will not visit Dora's again. When we want mex food, the taco bell drive through will be my choice. It is just as good and not nearly as depressing! Great service & food... 8/23/2002

We couldn't find anything open one Sunday night, being new to the area. We walked in just before closing and were seated promptly. Our waiter was very courteous. Our food was fresh and delicious. There was no hurry for us to leave, as we were there after closing. The atmosphere is great! The menu mentioned that it's a sister restaurant to Los Pinos in Northglenn. more
