Great Place for Boarding or Exercise 8/9/2010

I love this place. I've been taking my dog here for almost 4 years. We take him here at least once a week, and whenever we go on vacation. The place has a huge indoor and outdoor play area. My dog always comes back better trained and EXHAUSTED. I mean, so tired that he sleeps for the whole next day. They have them run around with tons of other dogs. And the little things are great -- they put out pools for them to play on on hot days. The staff is great. Honestly, I couldn't say anything better about Doggie World. more

I won't take my dog here again 12/30/2009

I had brought my dog here a few times before and was generally happy with the service. The last time I was away, my dog got bit by another dog in 2 different spots and had to get staples. I was super upset however I understand accidents happen. After I picked him up I never received a call from the owner of doggie world to see how he was doing and to check up with me.That really pissed me off and I will never take him back here again. more

Great place to board!!! 10/31/2009

My dog loves going to this place! the staff is always friendly and welcomes him right away with a treat. He is always warn out once I get him home from playing all day! In responce to the post below THEY DO NOT KEEP YOUR DOG IN A CRATE ALL DAY they are only in a crate for feeding and sleeping (nap time and bed time). I wish they had a full service groomer though, then I wouldn't be running all over town! Pros: Big yard for dogs to play in Cons: no more grooming more

Amazing Place For Your Pooch!!!!! Doggie World DayCare 11/8/2008

Recently I was back in Philly on business and I had to bring my Cocker Spaniel (Sidney) with me. I was so HAPPY to see that DWD was still in business as Sidney had spent most of her days and on occasion weekends at DWD in her younger years (when we were residents of Philly). DOGGIE WORLD DAYCARE 1/23/2007

I TOOK MY LAB/MIX TO THIS PLACE ONLY 3 TIMES BECAUSE ON THE 2ND DAY WHEN I WENT TO PICK HER UP, SHE WAS IN A CRATE. I DIDN'T NEED TO PAY SOMEONE 25.OO TO PUT HER IN A CRATE, I COULD HAVE LEFT HER AT HOME! NOT NICE TO KEEP ALL THE PETS IN CRATES. ALSO WHERE ELSE IN PHILADELPHIA CAN I TAKE MY DOG? If you care about your dog's safety, do not bring him/her to Doggie World Daycare 11/19/2006

I have brought my 70+ pound mixed-breed dog to DWD about 7 times. He is extremely friendly to people and other dogs, and passed their screening process without incident. Unfortunately, the screening process must be very flawed, because I have picked him 2X with large and deep bite marks on his face, head, and ears. One of those wounds was so deep, it should've been sutured and was left untreated by the staff. When I asked a staff member to have Charity (the owner) call me, she did not. more

Inadequate screening for aggressive dogs 9/9/2006

This place does not do a proper agressive dog screening - they have their staff meet the dog for assessment, without exposing him to the other dogs. This is inadequate as dogs do not behave the same way around other dogs as around people. Pros: Nice large yard and faciltiies Cons: Poor supervision and dog screening more
