World Class Vets here for your pets! 3/22/2013

Wonderful Vet Clinic! Took my purebred Tonkinese there as a kitten a couple of years ago, as he needed to see a vet within 72 hours of purchase (as contract stipulated). Dr. C. and staff were wonderful, very gentle and gave me a schedule for my cat's shots. Was shocked that the initial well kitten visit was about $60.00...LOWEST of any vet clinic around (I called every vet clinic downriver). Went back for shots, those were a bit expensive, due to needing so many, about $138.00. My cat was neutered here too and the price was, again, the lowest around. I added a second cat to my family last year and I'm absolutely completely trusting of Dr. C. and the staff. So far, I've not had to take my cats in for anything major. The only down side, the wait can be a bit long if the clinic is busy. Also, I find that if I call before I go, I can get a general idea of how much I'll be spending. Since they DON'T ACCEPT CHECKS, I have to know how much cash to take with me to pay the bill. more

I absolutely love Dix animal hospital and recommend them to all of my friends and family & I would try to explain why...\r On our first visit, the staff was very assiduous and attentive to my puppy's needs. Dr Chadha was very soft spoken but yet was filled with tons and tons of information that was enlightening. He was gentle and friendly with my pup and made him feel comfortable throughout his entire stay. \r Then THE big test came.After coming from work one night I took my old dog outside to do his buisness.I noticed that he was straining to pee but no urine was coming out.I called DAH... to my dismay they were already closed.I took him to nearby emergency clinic.They did some radiographs and diagnosed him with stones in his penis. Unfortunatlly they couldn't push it back into bladder.So to make long story short after spending 600 $ I was told that my dog needed a procedure which would would had been another 2200.I had no choice than bringing him home. All night I waited anxiously for more

AMAZING VET!!!!!! 5/15/2012

I just rescued a kitten from a craigslist home and he was dirty, an eye infection and come to find out, he got a parasite. Dr. Chad and nurse Sue took care of Elliot amazingly and another nurse even jumped my car because it would not start when I went to leave. Every one is so caring. His exam and shots were only $55. They are very cheap and affordable. His medication for his eye and tummy were another $35. I think that this vet was the best choice for me to take my little boy. I would recommend this vet to everyone. Elliot thanks everyone to even know she had to get shots. He really liked nurse sue. more

We used to have a 12 year old Rottweiler who began to have a growth behind his eye. After having a bad experience at another Veterinarian (Banfield Pet Hospital), we took him to Dix Animal Hospital for a second opinion. Because we were having money issues at the time, Dr. Raj Chadha worked with us on the price to have an X Ray done and was very sympathetic for what was soon to be our loss.\r \r After a few years we rescued a puppy and brought him back to Dr. Chadha. I love that he checks our dogs bones, knees, eyes, ears, teeth and ribs and runs his hands down her spine and tail to check for anything abnormal. He has been our number one choice of vet, always being very up-front with any questions we have and his suggestions. \r \r They are highly recommended! more

I have been thinking for long time to put a review online .To make a long story short my cat had a hard time peeing for longest time. I spent thousands of dollar in emergency clinics until a friend suggested Dix animal hospital. Dr Raj Chadha after listening to my story recommended pu procedure.I am very happy to report that my baby has been peeing fine for last one and half year. So a big THANK You to Dr Chadha and team. more

The staff was excellent and very caring towards my dog he had several surgeries there and they were very reasonable on pricing they still remembered him when i had to take him in a year later to be put down due to cancer, great vet more

Superb Staff 4/27/2010

I took our dog of several years here to be put to sleep. The staff here were very understanding & compassionate. They made a very heartbreaking visit much easier. I would strongly suggest using this vet if you need one. more

a new forever constumer 11/26/2009

Dr. Chadha and all the staff were so compassionate and made a very difficult time for us a lot easier. This was our first experience with them, and we will be back with our other pets. I would recommend this place to my friends and family. Dr. Chadha presented all of our options to us and also let us know what he would do, not just what would benefit their business the most. We have had bad experiences with some other veterinarians, who seemed to steer us in the most costly direction no matter what the outcome. DAH prices were very reasonable as well. I have the utmost respect for Dix Animal Hospital and their staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! more

BEST VET AROUND!!! 10/25/2009

Try the Dix Animal Hospital. They are wonderful people. I called all over when I needed to get my cats declawed and fixed and they were the cheapest. Then I brought my sick cat there and he knew I did not have a lot of money, so he did everything he could to help my cat and worked with me to pay the amount I needed to pay. He has one of the biggest hearts and the the most compassion I have come across in a long time. more

Wow! 8/15/2009

I got my puppy from a local pet shop which one night just started to sneeze . I took her to local ER clinic they did radiographs and some blood work and put him on antibiotics but my puppy continued to sneeze . A friend told me about dix animal hospital so I went for second opinion . He took a look on radiographs and Blood work & said it might be because of some mites in nose . He did one injection and sent me home . My dog stopped sneezing in one hour. He is now my permanent vet more

My experience 8/15/2009

My cat was diagnosed with parasite at some other hospital but still continued to vomit for 3 days. When I took her to Dix animal hospital he did xrays and found out that cat has string foreign body and performed an emergency surgery . My cat is doing well . So I think he is an excellent vet more

Very nice vet, and professional staff. Staff was amazing, provided real good care to my sick Beagle. Dr. Raj Karkuja is the best veterinarian. He performed a through exam and explained everything to me, a very friendly person and a humble professional. I can tell that Dr. Karkuja is the best veterinarian, I ever met; he performed a through exam and explained everything to me. I can tell, Dr. Raj has passion to treat sick animals and he is a professional full of knowledge. After chatting with him, I found, that Dr. Raj has completed PhD in veterinary, in my opinion this is unusual effort by Mr. Raj. All I can say is that Dr. Raj has a passion to treat sick animals, which in my opinon kept him in the veterinary practice to treat sick animal rather other careers such as teaching veterinary science at a local university. More important, hospital was open late on Saturday, this was suppposed to be a onetime visit to avoid emergency clinic's unreasonable fees's, as my vet is closed on wee more

GOOD PRICES 1/16/2009

Dix Animal Hospital was recommended to me by a co-worker. Dix Animal Hospital has had the best prices. When I first bought my dog and adopted my cat I would call around and compare prices at numerous different veterinarians. Dix Animal Hospital always had the best prices. Now I quit calling around because I am certain I will not find a better deal somewhere else. One money saving example I can come up with from my most recent visit was that they told me about a rebate for heart worm/flea medication that my parents had not been told about by their veterinarian. The staff is professional and friendly. The veterinarian had always been available. Staff is knowledgeable. I would not go anywhere else. more

Fair Prices and good hospital 6/24/2008

I take my Terrier to Dix Animal Hospital. I like this pet hospital, after a long time i found a good and affordable pet hospital. This hospital provides one of the best care, value for money and service. Doctor and staff are helpful and very down to the earth people. more

Good Vet 3/9/2008

I did'nt believe it when he said he has lost only one puppy to parvo since he graduated . But my puppy was back to normal in 4 days.\r \r I still remember loosing my puppy to parvo 5 years ago when I went somewhere else & my bill was almost twice.\r Pros--good Vet\r Cons--place is hard to find more

Made appointment for two cats, staff and vet were nice, friendly and caring, pricing is much better than where I used to go. This pet hospital sends reminders for vaccinations, I?ll recommend this place. more

Healthy Pets 8/22/2007

Visited Dix Animal Hospital many times, veterinarian and staff is very friendly, and share information to improve my pets health. They care about my pet?s health and never tried to enforce or oversell food or services to me. Vets discuss about food, as it is important to pet?s health, they don?t sell pet food, only carry prescription food. I was told to buy senior food from any pet food store for my cat. My pets are always comfortable and I like going to Dix Animal Hospital. Best barometer is that my pets are healthy, very happy with the care they provide! more

Best Vet Period! 6/19/2007

I am animal lover; consider pets as part of my family. Love my dog Parker and cat?s Missy & Mist, just love them. Vet at Dix performed emergency surgery on Parker after injury caused by an accident. Dix Animal Hospital provided one of the best emergency care to Parker during the critical moments, on Saturday 5:20 PM. I still remember when I walked into the hospital, they were closed but still let me in by opening the door, all the staff and doctor got immediately into action and stayed in the hospital until 9:00 PM. I have never seen a vet and staff so caring and loving. They could have easily sent me to Emergency; since Parker's condition was bad and they were closed but instead they did their best to help me and Parker.\r \r Dix Animal Hospital provides one of the best veterinary care to my pets. Never seen anyone waiting more than 30 minutes, been to Dix multiple times during the past 18 months. I have seen the surgery room; it is comparable with human healthcare, well equipped Ho more
