What talent and service! 8/9/2011

I had a party at Smith and Lowenski recently. I asked them to provide flowers for all 15 tables. I WAS BLOWN AWAY!! Distinctive Floral Designs does most of the flowers for the fine dining restaurants in the Galleria. Didn't know that! However, I will not forget. What an amazing job they did. We have since hired them for several home parties and they continue to be DISTINCTIVE! The art that comes from this group with Michael's direction is AMAZING! Thank You Distinctive Floral Designs. I will continue to sing your praises! more

I have used a lot of Florist in the Galleria, but this team knows what a masterpiece is! Always creative, always fresh and always one of a kind! I met Michael a few years ago. He has really made this business the place to use for flowers. GO MICHAEL! I will continue to use Distinctive Floral Designs and will tell everyone to as well! more

Such Customer Service & Amazing designs 8/11/2010

I recently lost my Mother and needed a florist to help with the casket spray and other family flowers we wanted to order. We chose Distinctive Floral Designs because of the ratings on City Search. They went out of their way to help all of my family. The flowers were beautiful and everyone raved at the funeral. I even received a special gift from Michael at the funeral home. He wrapped up a cross I had complimented in his shop while talking with him about my Mom's flowers. Very thoughtful. VERY good at what he does. Thank you Michael. All the best to you! more

Michael is AMAZING & Distinctive Floral Designs is the BEST! 1/12/2010

I am not the type of person who typically takes the time to write a review but Michael with Distinctive Floral Designs did such an amazing job on my wedding from start to finish that I felt compelled to. His attention to detail and knowledge of flowers was amazing. What I liked most of all was the way I was treated. I was treated with more courtesy and professionalism than any other florist which I interviewed for this very special day and I am very picky. I was offered a soda or glass of wine during consults and was able to meet and go over many beautiful portfolios in a very relaxing and beautiful showroom. If I had a question about a flower or a certain look I had in mind, Michael would hop up and pull something out of the cooler to give me an example. If Michael, the owner, was not available to meet with me, I felt equally assured and in very good hands with the rest of his staff (specifically Rachel and Traci) who are also amazing. Michael and his entire staff were extremely professional and efficient from start to finish and I can't say enough about how pleased I am that I chose him. I would without a doubt recommend Distinctive Floral Designs to even my hardest to please friends and family without any reservation. Pros: easy to work with, attention to detail more

Thank you for the beautiful flowers that you created for Jennifer and John?s wedding last night at St. Vincent De Paul Church and the Courtyard on St. James. Jennifer was very specific about the color palette she wanted for her flowers for the ceremony and the reception. You listened to her vision and made it happen. Pros: Attention to detail. Great wedding florist! 4/14/2009

This vendor (especially thanks to Debra) was so helpful in making our wedding as special as possible. They did a great job and everyone was raving about the flowers! They were flexible and let me change my order even up to the last minute and totally refunded my money. They were very easy to work with. Pros: Great ideas, pretty flowers, flexible, friendly more

Awesome 7/9/2008

I just had a session with Nicolet this past weekend and she was wonderful. She took the time to explain and show us things and even did it while being on one leg. If you are looking for flowers for any occasion, make sure you give her an opportunity.She will educate you and also work with you and not run your wedding budget to the ground. Once again check this place out and at least give it an opportunity. Pros: knowledge of product and willingness to work with customers more

The Perfect Wedding! 10/15/2007

My friend, Gina Witherspoon, who had done some floral work for me before, now works with Nicola Hall at Distinctive Floral Designs so this was a natural choice for me to use this shop for my second daughter's wedding. It could not have been a better choice. These are two of the nicest people to work with...they both went to great lengths to understand my daughter's "vision" of her wedding and the result was PERFECT! When we walked into Ashton Gardens and saw the chapel arrangements, the bouquets and the centerpieces, we could not believe how stunning the flowers were! My daughter kept saying over and over that she was so happy with the way the colors and types of flowers turned out. The deep fuschia and purple and bright green colors just "popped" with the midnight blue bridesmaids' dresses and the stargazer lillies in the chapel arrangements were so fresh and gorgeous. All of the guests were amazed at how beautiful the submerged orchids and floating candles were in the water-filled hurricanes centerpieces at the reception. If I had any more daughters, I would definitely call Distinctive Floral Designs again - they are in the business of making sure their customers are completely satisfied and happy!!! Wonderful customer service and beautiful flowers!!!! 9/4/2007

Nicola with Distinctive Floral Designs just did the flowers for my wedding a week ago and she is so sweet, professional, very detailed and always easy to get a hold of when I had questions or changes. She went out of her way to help my Mom and I and made my wedding day a breeze. I told Nicola what color flowers I wanted and types I liked/disliked. Couldn't have been more happy with what she created. Went back to work today and my co-workers were still complimenting me on how beautiful everything was. I would highly recommend Distinctive Floral Designs. My mom and I even asked Nicola to stay and watch the ceremony, that's the kind of relationship you will develop with her. Best florists in Houston 9/2/2007

My recent wedding was done by Distinctive Florals- I cannot tell you how many compliments I have received on the flower arrangements. I had three separate events, all done by Nicola at Distinctive Florals- each one was so unique and creative and looked absolutely stunning. Our wedding was an Indian wedding, but I felt like the flowers and the linens created the perfect balance between western and eastern cultures. Nicola's decorative ideas were exceptional. There are not enough words how happy my family and I were with the decor (we even incorporated peacock feathers for the reception!). Pros: service, uniqueness, creativity Cons: no cons! more

Best Floral arrangements and great promt courteous service 8/28/2007

Nicola of "Distinctive Floral Designs" did the flowers for our daughter's wedding and everything was perfect. Our daughter just explained the look she was going for, roses, and the colors she wanted and left the rest up to Nicola. When we saw the flowers the day of the wedding, we could not believe it. They were fantastic, our guests kept complimenting us on the arrangements. Our daughter was thrilled with her bouquet. The topper for the cake was just right, even the people who made the bridal cake made positive comments to me about the arrangement. Unique floral arrangement 8/25/2007

On my husband's birthday, I would order flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, etc. and send it to his office. It started out as a gag but has become an annual tradition. As usual, I don't want the run of the mill birthday arrangement. I called Distinctive Floral Designs the afternoon before his birthday. I specified what I wanted and if they can deliver it. The floral arrangement came in a 20 inches tall vase with tall and unique floral. They delivered to his office around 10:30am. Perfect... an entire day for his co-workers to oh and ah and make all the fuss around him that he so not want. :-P THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL and absolutely "DISTINCTIVE" floral arrangement. Best Florist in Houston 8/1/2007

I've had flowers sent in the past before but my boyfriend sent me flowers from here and they were absolutely gorgeous! They had limes in the bottom of the vase which I thought was very classy. I highly reccomend them to any man/woman!!!!! Best florist in Houston, hands down!!!!! Pros: beautiful flowers more

Beautiful Flower Arrangement and Great Service!! 1/11/2007

I was totally pleased!! Within two hours of my call an absolutely beautiful floral arrangement was delivered to my wife's office for our anniversary. She told me it was the most beautiful arrangement she has ever seen. It really brightened her day, which brightened my day too! I would highly recommend you try Distinctive and see for yourself. The Best Floral Shop anywhere !!! 12/27/2006

My boyfriend, now husband, sends me flowers every other Tuesday from Distinctive Floral Designs. The flowers from here are always fresh on time and the designs are always beautiful. My husband and I will not go anywhere else for flowers ever again ... they have class and the latest styles ... from 1-10. I could not recommend Distinctive Floral Designs more highly - I called from out of state for an arrangement to be sent to a friend who'd just lost her mother. Nicola was very helpful, asked what I was looking for, discussed my budget and told me what was available, fresh and beautiful. The next morning, the shop delivered an absolutely stunning arrangement (I was there to see it 2 days later - easily the standout bouquet of many). My friend loved them.
