Discount Tire

I have snow tires on separate rims, and brought them to Discount Tire on State Street to install them for the winter. The next day at highway speed there was a wobble, so I brought them back. The technician there said that two rims were slightly out of balance, and they corrected the problem. The wobble was still there at high speed. I called Discount Tire back and they said it was likely either my ball bearings or my alignment. I took my car to my mechanic for the wobble and a brake problem as well. He said that I had two different brands of snow tires, and instead of putting the same tires on the front and the back, the same tires were on the left and the right. I brought my car back to Discount Tire, and a manager took a look at it. I said that the tires were different, and he said, they’re all the same size. I literally took him behind my car and showed him the different tread on the left and right rear tires. I told him to fix it immediately. Their day was busy, but I wanted him to put my car in the next open bay, considering that this was my third time there. He made me wait an hour. I will never go to this business again. more

I had to visit Discount Tires today because I had a big nail in my tire. I was informed that it was in a place that couldn't be repaired. Luckily when I bought my tires a couple of years ago at a Discount Tire company in Scottsdale Arizona, I had purchased the free replacement coverage. The guys at Discount honored that with absolutely no problem. They gave me a new tire, checked and adjusted all of my tires, checked the air pressure on my spare tire, and put it back nicely where it belongs all within a half hour. All for free. They are awesome and always treat me like I'm their most important customer. I have always had a great experience at Discount whether I am in SLC, or any other state. more

I went in there twice and each time they were more rude than the previous time. They act like you owe them something and you are inconviniencing them when you stop by. I would never go to this location again. Terrible prices and service. more

Just went in for the winter tire change over. Always a good deal but I found that people behind me in line had their tires completed prior to mine. more

I had purchased some tires from firestone (sugarhouse), and had a flat I pulled in there, and they were ""too busy"" and wanted to charge me to fix it. I drove over to discount tire, and they fixed me up, at no charge. Needless to say, I went back to discount tire since then. Pros: they put the S in service Cons: don't know of any more

I have been a customer of Discount Tire for 25 years and have NEVER had a problem. I have been to stores in several states and have had perfect service every time. They always go out of their way to help and I have witnessed them helping others. They go the extra mile to keep a customer and their customer service is top notch. If anyone disagrees, then I am sorry to say that you are probably the type of people that expect freebies in life. A hand out. Pros: Customer service, prices, variety Cons: Nothing more

I purchased an extended warranty on my tires and then when my tire had a bulge in it, during the warranty period, they would not honor the warranty. I had gone in for regular service to other places, yet that was not good enough for Discount. The serviceman was rude and did not tried to make amends by selling me another warranty and new tires.
