Was on vacation to Miami a short while back and My Uncle took me to this terrific seafood restaurant and market...\r The fish was fresh and on ice for purchase and they have a great sit down restaurant. I noticed the zagat review on the wall and felt comfortable when we sat down... the menu is quite extensive and heavy leans to seafood which was very understandable. The staff was very pleasant and helpful... we both ordered the Paella and was very pleased... it was stuffed with a variety of fresh fish, clams, chicken, chorizo.... man I was impressed... the flavor of all the seafood permeated the rice... it was juicy and seriously flavorful.... after dinner we had cuban coffee and it was also masterfully prepared with a full head of espumita... I will always remember my meal at disco fish.... funny name.... very serious seafood.... everyone should put this eatery on their radar more

Bargain priced seafood 3/13/2010

For dinner i had a 1.15 lb hog snapper grilled filet weighed in front of me for $10.49 with 2 sides, i also selected the fish myself from their market on site. Our group consisted of 9 people and the total bill was <$100 including tax the tip was extra of course and we left 25%. Anywhere else we had gone for a comparable dinner would have been easily over $200. If you do not speak spanish do not worry you can point to the item on the menu as 1 other reviewer said. The marlin they are usually out of but ask anyway when u go. Pros: pricing, fresh seafood, quick-kind service, parking Cons: older building more

This is a simple seafood restaurant with nautical decor. They have their own seafood market inside, fresh fish on ice by the counter ready to be picked by you. It reminds me of seaside restaurants in the islands except there is no waves or water and you're by Ludlam Rd in the middle of Miami. Prices are very reasonable. You can have a dozen freshly shucked oysters or two and not break the bank. A whole fried snapper is less than $6.00 and a lobster thermidor for $14.95. Get the crabmeat croquettes or fried fish roe if eating raw oyster does not appeal to you. Been there several times and I always leave satisfied with enough change in my pocket for an after meal cafecito. more

What it lacks in ambiance... 1/28/2005

Fresh fish decently prepared at an amazing price. The service can be slow and spotty but the food is consistent. Forget English. It is rarely spoken or understood. Don't worry about it. Point to menu items and enjoy. Where else can you get a fresh snapper fillet and sides for six bucks? more
