Everything is great 6/14/2010

I've eaten at the Diamond Knot on Camano Island quite a few times. The breakfast is well priced for what you get. I love the french toast. I have a few family members that LOVE the chili bowl ( I don't eat meat). They're from out of town and every time the come up stop by to get the bowl. I just tried the Cajun Salmon sandwich, and it was great. Very healthy and excellent flavor. Pros: Unique dining experience more

The best thing Mukilteo has 4/19/2010

The knot rocks and I go there often. It's a casual, fun, vibrant place where many locals go often...it's truly a pub or public place. Pros: Old world ambiance, relaxing, and great IPA & specialty brew Cons: There isn't more of them more

wow is this place over friendly.....eeeks 5/24/2009

my fiancee , father, and i went there to get an ice cold beer together before our beach walk not a bad day.... we went inside the pub hoping for the best, my fiancee went to the bathroom to freshen up...when he came out one of the barmaids ran into him....but that is not why I am so irrate!!! she proceeds to rub his arms and hold his arms repeatedly asking him if he is okay staring at him like he is her man or something....this lasted for at least a minute then she went on her way...now keep in mind....my fiancee is over 6 feet tall and this 5 foot something flewzy is not going to hurt him by running into him and the tlc she gave him was overly done and annoying!!!!!!!! If my man needs a bandaid or some comfort he can come to me not some hot in the pants bar whench! after the incedent she kept looking over at my man and smiling at him....what a discusting woman!!! yep the staff is just too over friendly for me seemed like a brothel or strip club to me..... Pros: the beer is good Cons: the employees are alittle over friendly more

Not Impressed 8/9/2008

You will be disappointed if you come here for food. Without a doubt, foods are rediculously over priced and taste unpleasant. I was extremly shocked to see the amount of food I got for my main dish. For $16, I got 3 pieces of baby shrimp and two pieces of tinny/thin salmon (the size of a business card), and they expect me to cook my own food, it was rediculous. If I knew, I wouldn't be here. On top of that vegetables were precooked but they were over cooked. Listen to this....they served us with cheezy plastic cup for ice water and beer. How unprofessional was that? Waitresses were slow, rude and unprofessional. For the same amount, you can find other local restaurants 10 times better. Cons: pay parking, waitresses are slow, rude and unprofessional more

There are better local breweries out there.... 5/4/2008

First off, parking. It's very limited so you end up having to pay, and I'm not talking about a meter, your only other option is a parking lot where you have to pay $5.00 for 0-2 hours and so on. more

good food, kind of gimmicky 4/12/2008

If you like to throw peanuts on the floor, drink beer and watch your meat sizzle on a rock, this place is for you! Pros: throwing peanut shells on the floor and a selection of microbrews Cons: not the best quality of steak and cooking it yourself (sort of) more

Best guilty pleasure around... 12/18/2007

Let's be honest...this dive bar is unpretentious and simplistic. That being said, the food is good (try the Texas Chainsaw Pizza) and the beer is well made and diverse. The Industrial IPA is iconic and should be considered in any conversation about great microbrews. It seems like the service is slow at times, but when you actually count the number of people in there vs the number of staff, they are doing pretty well. All in all, a great experience if you are looking for a no frills night out. Pros: The Industrial IPA is heaven! Pizza and stone grill food is good too. Cons: Parking, ferry traffic more

fun time 7/18/2007

The atmosphere is bit crazy...but the jukebox is good and the food is a blast to cook on your only little plate of piping hot stones! It's fun to throw you peanut shells on the floor, too. We did have to wait over 30 minutes for a table (standing) and the waitstaff seemed a bit overwhelmed. But it was worth the wait. Would go again in a heartbeat. Pros: Food, Beer Cons: long wait for table more

Do they steal from all thier customers? 3/23/2007

We decided to go here after hearing good things about the food. When we realized it was more of a bar atmosphere we decided to stay for some food anyways. After about 15 minutes of waiting for a table we then had to go up to the bar to ask for menus. No one came by to take our order and when we got fed up after about a 1/2hr - 45 min we decided to pay for the two beers my fiance and dad had ordered. When we finally found the waiter we asked for the check, after another 10 minutes of waiting and my Dad looking to see if he had any $10 bills to just leave on the table he had to catch the waiter and give him a $20 bill. My fiance and I both saw him give the waiter the $20, then we both saw the waiter promptly put the money in his back pocket. When he came back with only $2 in change my father said I gave you a $20, and the waiter said ""no dude you gave me a $10"" and turned around. We were all so fed up at that point that we just left and will never go back again, no will we recommend going there, unless of course you like being stolen from, ignored, and paying 20$ for 2 lousy beers. more

Unique Pub Food, Interesting Location, Great IPA 3/2/2007

I don't get to this place enough, but will again this weekend. I usually visit during off hours when friends are in town (because my wife doesn't like to drink and my son is too young to be able to get in ;), e.g., Saturday or Sunday late afternoon or early evening. The keys are to order the right beer -- the staff are quite willing to allows a taster or two, and my favorite is there IPA, the best in the Seattle area, imho -- and the right food. My recommendation: The basil bleu. This is a mouth-watering rib-eye with bleu cheese, basil, mushroom, and veggies. The kicker, though, is that, like many of their dishes, it's delivered to you almost immediately as a raw steak on a 750-degree-F platter, and you get to cook it! If you like it raw, just start eating. If you like it well-done, cut it into thin slices and cook it on the platter to your own tastes. And they're very willing to advise on how to cook it based on your tastes, and you can get it just the way you like it! Again, great place, wish I lived closer! Pros: Good food, good beer, good people Cons: Parking can be a bit freaky during busy times more

good food, service needs a little work 12/18/2006

my friend decided to take me here after she'd had a good experience here. we ended up having to sit on the couches to wait for a table, which was fine. it was a friday night so we expected it to be busy. our server was really nice and got us some beers and took our order while we waited. we waited for probably about 20 minutes before we got a table, which was expected. then things started to go a little sour. we ended up waiting for another 40 minutes before we got just one of our dishes which our server set down and quickly said 'sorry, i think your order got lost' then disappeared before we could react. we then waited another 6 minutes before my friend's food finally made it's way out at which point i had started eating since we weren't sure if she was ever going to get her food. the basil-dilla that i had was really good though. anyways, by the time we were finished we had to look for our waiter again since he didn't even stop by to see how things were or if we needed water or anything. at this point we just wanted to get out of there so we just paid the bill and left. i would have been more inclined to leave a good tip if we would have gotten something comped or even a discount on our bill for having to wait so long for our 'forgotten' order. the food was good, but i won't be back anytime soon. Pros: good food, decent beer Cons: customer service more

You do KNOT want to miss this place... 8/18/2004

Diverse crowd of young and old locals as well as thirsty ferry travelers. Great laid back atmosphere, but it has plenty of energy. Staff are extremely friendly and interactive. Food is best I've had in a bar. Try the Stone Grill!! Cook anything from sammiches to steak and seafood. Play digital trivia or a board game on one of the couches. Did I mention the BEER?!! Try 'em all...$2 pints on Tuesday. Pros: Bartender/waitstaff, Great food values Cons: , Lacks outside seating more

Beer/Pizza Heaven!! 7/22/2004

Simply the tastiest pizza I have ever had. The Stonegrills are fun, but I have mixed feelings about going to a restaurant and cooking my own food. Dining selections are great here, though. Very tasty combinations of ingredients, especially with the pizzas. The pizzas we ordered were so good that we literally could not stop eating them until they were all gone. Beer is fantastic, and the taster platter is a great deal and a fun way to try their takes on the main styles Pros: Great Beer, Great Food, Great Prices more

  • Diamond Knot's original brewery and alehouse is in a building that has housed a pub for over 20 years. Before the building became a pub, it was a bus garage used by the local transit company and the main roll-up door can still be seen just inside our front door. The original thick, sturdy wooden beams and open plank ceiling, give the building a wharf-like atmosphere that fits perfectly with our nautical feel and the waterfront on which we are located.
