I have been going here for over 10 years. When I first started going the service was top notch. The owner Bruce went out of his way to make sure all my questions was answered and was always helpful. Since the heavy set red headed pharmacist and the blonde headed one started there, they have been nothing but rude to me. Of course they only treat me this way when Bruce isnt around. The final straw came when I went to fill my prescriptions this last time and I was treated like an absolute piece of you know what. I was going out of town and my doctor even called the pharmacy and told them it was ok with him if they filled it 3 days early. I handed everything in and stood back to wait. The red headed woman, instead of coming around to talk to me privately which she should have since this is about my medications proceeded to yell at me from over the counter where she was. She was absolutely rude and would not let me explain the situation. She kept screaming over and over about how I had enough to last till Monday and even screamed out what kind of medication I was on. I tried explaining that my doctor had called and said it was ok but she said she didnt care about what my doctor said, she wasnt filling them! The absolute nerve of this woman. I stormed out completely embarrassed and vowed to never step foot in that pharmacy again. She just lost Bruce a customer that has been with him for 10 plus years. If you want to be treated like you do not matter and wait over 40 minutes to get one prescription then this is the place for you. I hope Bruce sees this and really thinks twice about who he has staffing his pharmacy. Trust me I am not the only one who has been treated like this by these two women. more

Destrehan Discount Pharmacy provides timely service in an area where patience does not exist. The prices are second to none in the area, the service is fast, and as far as limits on products, the limits apply to sold at "below cost" products. These limits are in every retail store on the planet. What planet are you from Nick L.? As far as respect for the customers, customers are by far their #1 priority. Where else in this screwed up area can you get a prescription filled in under 15 minutes? Destrehan needs to wake up and join the majority of us who don't live beyond our means, and hold ourselves in higher esteem than our neighbors. Get with it Nick L., bet you don't even get prescription medications, LEGALLY. more

This pharmacy is a locally owned store that not only supplies medication, but also food and beverages. I find that the staff is very rude and will not help you with anything that you need and limits you to what you can buy. The prices are a bit outrageous and have no sense of respect for their customers. If you are in the local neighborhood, I recommend that you stay out of this place and stick to a national level chain store. more
